I redrew the Arcetri Tabris FANbruary piece I did for @tiredtabris on my tablet! I just have to say, doing a perfect circle digitally is, uh, way easier.

i dont have any new ideas so im redrawing a piece from a few years ago

1, 9, 11, 12, 16, 31, 34, 37, 48 for whoever is most on your mind rn

im gonna cherry pick these and answer them either for arcetri, mustard, or sulevin (or ill fuck around and do several). i have enormous brain rot over arcetri and mustard atm but i havent done one of these for sulevin yet (i think) 

1. What is their view on love?

mustard’s view on love is So messy he’s so messy like as a person. he never really considered himself able to love or be in love because he spent a very long time asking very little for himself and did the whole ‘i spent all of my time making everyone comfortable but i wasnt comfortable myself’. although this questions implies Romantic love i feel like in general his relationships have been strained in that aspect for a long time bc for mustard his priorities were just keeping people safe and comfortable and at the very bare minimum, alive. this kinda ends up turning him into an apathetic shithead for a bit after he fails one too many times because he’s over it while he DOES care he also like...doesnt. he isnt going to break his back over it anymore (but also he kinda does). 

with all of that being said he kind of went from “it’s not a good time for me atm” to “i dont think it will ever be a good time to be w/ me” which is Wrong and so whenever someone expresses interest in him he’s always very surprised. and then very concerned. he goes back to fretting if he’s doing enough bc he doesnt want to feel like a failure but EVENTUALLY...eventually he ends up finding some peace in it and sembelance of comfort that he was always missing and for once in his life he actually feels like doing this all was worth it, even if it’s just for a little while 

9. What is a virtue they wish they had?

sulevin...is a spirit of purpose so on one hand he embodies that concept but at the same time he kind of got the short end of the stick and was tossed into the fade when his body was starting to fail him after he contracted the blight. he just kinda feels like everyone has their own sense of justice and morality and it’s easy enough to dispense it if you’re angry enough but purpose is far more difficult, and his guiding words usually fall on deaf (or just really stubborn) ears. 

11. What is their fatal flaw?

arcetri’s fatal flaw is probably her selflessness because it goes directly into her stubborness. while this can also be a good thing she would rather throw herself into the fire than try to extinguish it and by god nobody is going to tell her otherwise. 

12. What is guaranteed to make them cry?

mustard doesnt cry a whole lot but when he does it’s usually bc something Horrible just happened or he’s just really stressed out or overwhelmed and he has to take it out on something (usually himself). on the flip side he can be a bit of a sap sometimes and so genuine sentiments or proclaimations of love etc etc can make him a bit teary eyed 

16. How well do they get along with children?

sulevin (in life) was a healer of a dalish clan and he was used to dealing with their bumps and bruises and he got along with them pretty well although he doesnt let them get up to as much trouble as arcetri does. i dont think sulevin had kids himself but he has the like. cool uncle vibes that’ll slide you a $5 for snackies 

arcetri on the other hand thought that children were little snot monsters for the longest time but when she’s getting to her mid to late twenties she’s like “yes do u need anything alistair” (has like five children from her aunt’s clan hanging off of her). kids LOVE arcetri because she’s the Hero!!! but also she thinks its amusing to watch them get up to their own mischief (not nearly as bad as her own mischief when she was a kid but still supplemental). 

31. Do they have any pets? Are there any pets that they want?

arcetri’s the only one that actually has pets (although mustard looks after his neighbors cat whenever he can). although at the same time her pets arent hers necessarily but just what’s at the palace bc you got yourself barkspawn and his pubbies, the royal stables and whatever horses are there (arcetri only rly has one horse that she gives a shit abt and his name is peanut butter) and then you have the stray cats that arcetri let into the barn to clean up the mice. it’s lowkey a zoo but arcetri refuses to admit it. arcetri wants to actually adopt a stray and take it into the palace and be like hehe My cat but she knows that she’d probably end up neglecting attention and time to it bc she’s busy as fuck so she decides against it 

34. Do they have any scars? How do they feel about them?

arcetri’s pretty indifferent about her scars although during the few times that she’s dressed up for a formal event (or her wedding...s) and she saw all of the scars she got from fighting and she’s just like.....:/. she primarily wears long sleeves during special/formal events for a reason. she also wears gloves to cover up the lyrium brand bc that’s a sore spot and a half for her. 

sulevin had a few scars in life but wasnt much of a fighter, when he was young he didnt pay close enough attention to his surroundings and some wolves got him so that’s how he got the ones on his face (and also how he met the previous sulevin that would come to follow him). he also has a “blight scar” which is a big ole black, sprawling, veiny looking scar on his chest by his heart which came from being infected. sulevin shows his scars bc he’s accepted that they’re apart of him and acknowledges his shortcomings and failures in life bc why be regretful when he’s already dead

37. Is there something they did that they deeply regret doing? Was it a mistake or on purpose?

mustard doesnt regret walking away from typical guardian life to do some soul searching but i think he kind of regrets how it all played out bc he did Not make some good decisions and he did it mostly bc he didnt care what came tomorrow and he hung out with some shady people that like. took advantage of his anger and grief and he’s just very tired of feeling like somebody else’s weapon that they can brandish whenever they feel it necessary 

48. How much effort do they put into their own well-being?

arcetri only did the bare minimum for a long time just so that she could wake up and walk the next day but i think alistair motivates her to do better a lot, and so does anaise :p

17. Which oc is a morning person?

drax forced himself to be a morning person because beginning to travel at 10am-12pm doesnt really work. with that being said though he is slightly grumpy during the mornings 

18. Which oc usually wakes up late in the day?

arcetri would wake up at 3-5pm everyday if she didnt have responsibilities. mustard wakes up at 3-5pm despite his responsibilities 

19. Which oc lives in a place where there is little to no sunlight?

ive always envisioned denerim as an overcast city since it’s right next to the water. somebodys ripping fat clouds 24/7 and there’s fog forever. also a lot of rain

20. Which oc lives in a place where there’s an overabundance of sunlight?

i feel like this should count (although it’s technically called “gloom” weather in game)

1. Which oc sleeps in an unusual position? (ex: sitting upright or lying as though they were in a funeral casket)

arcetri sleeps like a little weirdo since she grew up sleeping in twin beds into adulthood she sleeps curled up into like a little ball. when the blight happened she did learn to sprawl out a bit though and that wound up with alistair getting smacked in the face or waking up to see her holding onto him like he was an overstuffed teddy bear. luckily for alistair he’s obsessed with this because he’s like wow you really live like this? he isnt really thrilled about getting smacked in the face but u know. the things u do for love (it’s ok it doesnt happen very often)

2. What do your oc’s sleeping quarters look like?

arcetri shares her room w/ alistair so it’s a very fun mishmash of both of their Things. both of their warden armor sits on stands in the corner of their room, various memontos dating back from their childhoods sit on both of their desks, it matters very little whose belongs to who. although they keep the majority of their actual “work” in the library/study to help keep things organized there are stray papers and reports sitting about, and if it belongs to arcetri then there’s probably a coffee stain. they have their respective armoires but arcetri will steal something from alistair on the occassion. also if you happen to find some knives buried around that’s just par for the course. under pillows or stuffed in random places. 99% of the time it was arcetri’s doing. 75% of the time it was intentional. there also might be some clothes or blankies laying around but they’re not messy people 

drax technically has sleeping quarters/dorm space/apartment as i like to imagine all of the scions do  but i dont think he really uses them just because he’s travelling so much. with that being said he doesnt have much of anything in there other than extra clothes and whatever precious few mementos he has that he didnt want risk losing/breaking on the road. he also keeps the vast majority of his own personal library there, which is mostly just a bookshelf or two shoved with various tomes he’s found or been gifted from the others. when he does find himself staying there for long periods of time it’s usually fairly clean because if anything it’s rather bleak looking since he never bothered to decorate. he does, however, have a habit of hoarding cups in his room and it pisses everyone else off because he forgets to take them downstairs. everyone wants to see drax do the walk of shame with like 5 cups but then drax was like wait no i got this and then started teleporting cups downstairs because he’s an asshole. luckily he hasnt broken anything yet but when he does that will be the goddamn day 

and ill stop there or else this will be 50 pages long

4. Which oc does not sleep?

arcetri struggles to sleep bc warden dreams and she has Issues

mustard doesnt sleep simply because guardians are undead, slightly immortal freaks of nature that dont need sleep (as far as actual destiny lore is concerned, anyways) 

with that being said i do imagine that guardians sleep sometimes (like once a week maybe)-either recreationally as a de-stresser or to help recover lost energy considering that they do need to eat. 

10. Which oc is VERY affected by caffeine?

arcetri would be my only guess because she was chugging caffeine throughout the blight but after the fact she still has like, a cup of coffee a day 

11. Which oc’s bed is perpetually covered in laundry or other paraphernalia?

mustard’s ship is lowkey a fucking mess but he gets better about it (not needing to eat very often probably has something to do with the lack of random shit). but he also has a tendency to just..leave various armor pieces around. maybe a gun on the table 

15. Which oc has or has had a bunk bed?

so in the tabris family home in denerim the only beds in there are bunk beds and ive thought about this for a long time because one of the beds clearly belongs to the warden but then like..who has the other . cyrion?

6. Describe their eyes.

a darker brown, like a chestnut or a russet. there’s some temporary flecks of blue in it after her possession but this only lasts a month or so. 

8. Any phobias?

nope! she has a fear of being alone but it’s not severe enough for it to be a genuine phobia  

10. How would their love interest describe them?

alistair would describe her as someone w/ a short temper and stubborn but still endearing nonetheless. he’d say that she was strong n smart but he mostly appreciates how she helps him keep on moving on even when the going gets rough, mostly through humor and her trying to make a space that’s comfortable for him where he can just chill out 

anaise would call her stubborn and irritable but also that stubborn n irritable asshole is someone that showed her how to properly stand up for herself so it is what it is. anaise thinks she’s Pretty but also just a genuinely nice person that looks out for others and is probably more generous than she oughta be, but anaise appreciates it nonetheless. 

11. How many times have they fallen in love?

id say like genuinely throughout her life like...........4 times.

1. Do they like rain?

i dont think so tbh! she hates being really cold so i think rain would fall under that. she wouldnt mind if it was a light drizzle but if it starts raining heavily i could see her getting annoyed. especially if she was stuck outside in it and she got drenched 

3. What do other people tend to think of them?

quiet, when she speaks she gets her thoughts out she does it as quickly and as plainly as possible, no fuss or frills. most ppl think she has a relatively good sense of humor as well. most of her thoughts are paired or hidden w/ Joaks

7. What’s their handwriting like?

messy cursive, something more akin to how you would expect an older relative to write . i also like to think that when she capitalizes letters that they’re kinda bigger than the rest of the letters she writes. no particular reason why i just think it’s a fun quirk

14. Favorite fruit?

apples :-)

20. Do they like the ocean? If they do, what do they like about it?

arcetri LOVES the ocean she could spend the rest of her days sitting by the seaside and watching the tide come in and out. when she was a kid in denerim one of her favorite places to go visit was the docks . after the blight she was able to go sailing for the first time in her life and she was fucking escastic. she probably goes fishing every now and then. i think in another life she could’ve been a pirate
