Rounding the corner, the male was hot on the trail of the Vampire that had been plaguing Paris for some time. Noe was still out sleeping, so he couldn’t wait on him so the male was left on his own. Not that he minded any. Still the male hissed as he picked up speed, trying his best to weave around the narrow corners and streets to chase the fleeing creature. It was on this particular day that he found something odd.

The air seemed to distort, sizzling with energy as his gaze snapped to the side, unsure what he could find.

“Huh—?!”

The air seemed to split as a type of doorway opened up in front of him.

“What the hell—!”

Oh. Hm. That’s a yikes right there. Kris never really did too well seeing any fellow humans around their quiet little town. Near instantly, the moment they saw him, they had froze where they stood and stared at him with an unchanging expression. That probably wasn’t the best way to greet someone new. They didn’t particularly care. Kris didn’t even move, other than the occasional blink behind long bangs as their head stayed rigid, facing directly towards the stranger’s direction.

It wasn’t too terribly often you saw people around here. They tended to make a point to avoid this town, actually. Kris aside, of course, but you had hoped it was because you had taught them to be a little more open-minded, and not just because they were, well, your kid. But, well, that was the main reason, wasn’t it?

Still, the fact that you had found another almost startled you, initially. Enough so there was a moment of hesitation. The thing that probably got you the most was not that they were human, but rather that there was someone in your yard to begin with.

        “Excuse me?” You waited to get his attention, then- “Are you... lost?”
