Correct.

League Guildmage’s second ability requires a target, and you can only target an instant or sorcery spell while it’s on the stack. If it has already resolved, it’s too late. You’ll need to hold priority after casting the spell in order to use League Guildmage in most cases.

I’m playing against a Tron opp and I ask how many of each Urza land they have because I have a land destruction spell; they lie and I end up leaving them with full Tron. How should I talk to the judge about this issue?

Your opponent can’t lie about public information, such as which permanents are on the battlefield. They have to let you determine the answer correctly at Competitive REL and have to assist you in doing so at Regular REL. If a situation like this comes up, the game would be rewound to the point of the incorrect information being given.

Can you use the Cycle ability of cards at instant speed?

You can cycle a card any time you have priority, which is any time you could normally cast an instant.

Do you have a guide on how one would transcribe a quote into tengwar? It’s not a shitpost so didn’t feel like it would work as a submission

I do not have a strict guide. You’ll probably notice inconsistencies throughout my posts, as I’m still hammering out a few kinks. The Tengwar alphabet is easy enough to find online. The trouble is that the alphabet is entirely phonetic, meaning it is based on sounds. And unfortunately, some sounds in English do not exist in Elvish, which can make transcription a bit tricky.

I now feel very dumb because I completely misread Madcap Experiment and didn't realize it did damage to you until I saw that long post where people were making fun of it as a strategy 😝

Story Time:

At the very first PTQ I ever played in, the format was Zendikar sealed (original ZEN, not BFZ) and I had opened a solid pool and built an aggressive white and red deck with a good suite of equipment and cheap threats. My ace in the hole was an Armament Master and a good number of Kor, as well as FOUR Goblin Bushwhackers...

Anyway, as I went through the day I did fairly well, winning most of my matches and always hanging somewhere near the top tables, say between tables 7 and 12 or so. I lost in the last round of Swiss playing for top 16, and after the final game ended, my opponent looked at me and said “You know that Armament Master gives a bonus for EACH equipment on it, right?” 

I looked down at the card just dumbstruck. Here I’d been playing strategically all day, keeping one equipment on the Master and moving the rest around to benefit my team. I’d played the whole day thinking that Armament Master’s ability was a binary option, not one that scaled. I keep thinking back to that event and how maybe I could have made top 8 if only I’d played my cards correctly and actually read them...

Hey Wil! I don't know if you saw my other message, but do you have any idea when/if Titansgrave will continue? My wife and I loved watching the series and we are dying of anticipation

We aren’t going to shoot until early next year, because there’s no way we can get the cast and creative team together this year (Hank’s wife is having a baby!)

I don’t have a date, but I expect it’ll be released before next summer.

If I cast both sides of Turn//Burn with a Pyromancer's Goggles, would I be able to copy both halves or just the Burn side?

You copy the entire fused spell.

If someone is being unnecessarily rude or disrespectful at a tournament, can they be reported to a judge? Can the judge do anything about that sort of behavior?

Yes!

There is a whole class of unsporting conduct infractions available to help deal with these sorts of situations.

Everyone at a tournament has the right to be treated with respect and fairness.
