I would LOVE to here u talk about Trudy and Matt!! Also khepri ... All ur OCS tbh

Oh, gosh! There's quite a lot of them, but I'll start with the three you mentioned!

All three of them are 14, but are quite different in personality. Trudy is from Summers but I treat her like she's from Spain basically. Closest equivalent I could think of, see! Matt is just from Eagleland, but he's even more Southern than Paula. Khepri, meanwhile is from Scaraba! I was trying to use regions that weren't used yet with the main cast, hence some characters from Summers and Scaraba!

Gameplay wise, Trudy is what you'd call "a mixed sweeper" in Pokemon terminology. Fast, but since she splits her attention between physical attacks and psychic ones, neither is really high. Matt, is just a human. No PSI or anything and honestly, he's a stick. I'm not putting him in a battle; he's considered a "minor story character". Maybe he can have a passably mediocre physical attack stat, but that's it. Khepri is the textbook white mage/cleric. Nothing but powerful defensive PSI but not a single attack to be seen, physical or psychic. She only hits scratch damage; you have to depend on her defenses.

Okay, now personality! Trudy sure is a handful for a lot of people, but she means well; she's just looking for friends. Being foreign and neurodivergent and an only child didn't help her much early on in her life, and a lot of what she does now is trying to get positive attention instead by being a hero, even if that means she gets a little reckless sometimes. Her greatest role model as a hero is Ness and her outfit is purposefully intended to be a "closet cosplay" of sorts of him. She wanted PSI so bad, and lucky her she did get it! Accidentally, via exposure. Exposure meaning electrocution. She's fine though. She was stoked! Until the aliens who wanted to avenge Giygas just in general messed up her biggest friendship, but that's another issue. Her best friend is Burr, who I'd also gladly tell you about later! Fun fact: the first thing she did upon figuring out there may have been aliens was try to beat up an abandoned alien-possessed animatronic with a jump rope. :] (she almost died)

Matt is a humble little store clerk. You know the drugstores littered around Eagleland? He works at one of those because his mom owns it. This means he gets to see a lot of other kids on the job, and he's actually really popular with them because he's just so sweet! Human Golden Retriever, as I said. And now both Burr and his sister have a crush on him. Oh, to be a love triangle victim... Don't worry, he's bi, but wait, that just makes the decision harder...! (Also Burr is quite closeted and tries to pass off all of his advances as his sister's but that's a different issue.) Crazy story, his biological father was homophobic and got divorced because his mom did accept him, so he has a new dad now. He got a step brother, Pryce, outta it, but he can't help but feel he caused the divorce. Pryce doesn't. He was too young and is completely clueless other than "yay new bro, lemme impress him!" (by trying to sell stuff in the store to "promote" Matt to manager. Pryce is actually really funny, I like him in that quirky comic relief NPC way.

Khepri. Oh boy.

She has mother issues.

Too many Mother characters with father issues, I said. Let's have one with mother issues, I said. Now, Khepri (and her brother Badru), have a really overprotective mother because of their PSI. While Khepri revealed she could heal almost anything pretty young, Badru revealed that he could manipulate the temperature of things (wink wink, foreshadowing). Out of superstition, they were both taught to repress their powers and minimize their appearances in public as to not accidentally show them either, but boy were the two miserable and you can tell by their very demure personalities. Khepri's only escape for example, was via her Magicant while asleep so she often used it to wander around since she couldn't normally. It ended up combining with her telepathy to allow her to enter other people's Magicants, which is how she became aware of Trudy. Knowing she could use her powers to actually help, she actually took Badru with her and they ran away to join the adventure. Eventually they realize they were both much stronger than they thought because they had repressed their PSI for so long. So Badru ended up with the heavy hitting PSI attacks. The foreshadowing was PK Fire and Ice! Woo-hoo!
