Corbeau and Archer, having both clearly taken a lot from Giovanni, are quite similar in some facets. However, Corbeau has a kindness in him that Archer lacks, likely due to Lysandre's influence on him.
Archer is vicious— a guard dog for Giovanni. He has no restraints and sees nothing but following his boss and supporting Rocket's endeavours. His entire existence post Rocket disbanding was reclaiming the group's image and calling for Giovanni to return. He has no mercy and clearly wants his goals more than anything else. With how he is, it can be assumed Giovanni honed this behaviour in him for his benefit.
Corbeau can be vicious, but it is not his immediate response. He had no urge to quash Philippe and keep him under his foot, instead preferring a path that earned the respect of the man and landing his position. He is driven by finances mostly, yes, but also a genuine love for his home. His treatment of player really shows a grasp of pulling more flies with honey than vinegar. He is one to pursue his goal mercilessly but not necessarily resorting to violence first.
