So fellow archery nerds, early this year I decided to attempt to build my own arrows for the first time. I started having accuracy issues while getting ready for this upcoming hunting season and I noticed some tail whip on 40+ yard shots so I broke out the paper and tuned my bow. 3 shots and it looks like I'm already good there. So I sat down and started crunching some numbers. I used a Front Of Center calculation I found at @eastonarchery online. With stock inserts and stock nocks my FOC was 9.05%, With the same inserts but with Nockturnal nocks my FOC dropped to 7.76%, I picked up some Easton 75 grain brass inserts, dry fitting these with the Nockturnal nocks I'm now at 13.36% FOC!!! All these calculations were with 100 grain points.
