why do you always have to be right? @archestypes naruto for sasuke.
The words come quickly and Sasuke is just as quick to hide his expression. If anything, the question only seems to amuse him. A faint scoff leaves him as he glances away toward the darkening horizon, as though the answer should be obvious to anyone with functioning eyes. "Because you're always wrong." The words land with effortless cruelty, delivered so casually it almost makes them worse. His gaze flicks back toward Naruto then, dark and cold and entirely unimpressed. "You rush into every situation shouting about friendship and promises and whatever stupid speech you've prepared this time. Then when things fall apart, you act surprised." A slight tilt of his head follows. "Someone has to think before they act." There is no real anger in him, no shouting, no frustration — just the same certainty that Naruto despises. "Besides," Sasuke continues quietly, folding his arms across his chest, "if I wasn't right so often, you would've gotten yourself killed years ago." The insult hangs there for a moment, and, then, almost as an afterthought— "You're welcome."
