ANDORRA SKI RESORT I 2015 Arid Arquitectura - Mias Arquitectes - Night - Ski Resort - Winter
Every post I make recently seems to start 'So haven't posted in a little while'.
A trend that I shall have to put a stop to. I seem to have the intention of posting something cool or reblogging to spread the word and works but I've been crazy busy banging out ideas for the AC-CA London Olympic Pavilion competition.
It's coming on well, just have to transpose it from sketches and excellent intentions to actual buildable architecture. A difficult task when working full time and only having my evenings to create.
Also L.A. Noire has been looking at me funny all week. It whispered to me to play otherwise it would break my hands, what choice did I have.
Maybe some sketches to follow, if your good.
So I started a new job today
That's right I'm now employed. Unfortunately its not doing architecture or any kind of designing. I feel like I've sold out for the love of money, Booo to me.
Anyway there's something about having a full time job that encourages me to keep designing and entering architectural competitions. So hopefully I'll be posting some more drawings and designs on a more regular basis.
At my last two jobs, both before Christmas, I was able to keep a little sketch book at my side and filled a couple of these up with drawings and musing. (Which I might scan in an throw up here for a glimpse into my mind). Therefore when I'm settled into this role I will, hopefully, be able to carry on this new tradition.
What an awful word; tradition. It seems so boring, so set in its ways. Maybe we need a new word to encompass all that tradition tries to whilst being something that people won't feel so stuffy using. Something that eloquently puts across our need to repeat a set of actions steeped in the history of our own cultures. A word that can be used to convey how we feel about the aesthetics of our past that would go hand in hand with more modern words like 'Modern'.
Moditional. OK that's terrible but its a start.
'Back to this new job' I hear you cry, 'We want to know more'. Well its for a property management company helping landlords manage their properties. I have to look at and source out maintenance issues with said properties. 'How moditional' you say.
That's right one day down and I've already gone more insane.
Maybe later I'll post up some quick images I've produced about trying to throw some colour into Bath.
You can only hope right!
