Since I’ve seen some interest about this card floating around, I figured I would upload the full-color version (a black and white copy is included in my book)
A birthday card Richard Loeb gave to Nathan Leopold for the first birthday the pair spent together in Stateville prison. It reads:
Happiest Birthday
[The cupid holds cards reading ‘To’ and ‘you’]
I’m wishing you many happy returns And pleasures without end, Because I’m glad that you were born, And proud to be your Friend.

It’s unclear if the drawing, watercolor painting and writing were done by Loeb, but the signature and date at the bottom are in his handwriting.
There is a ‘3′ in the top right corner and the card has crinkled edges which are slightly pink. It was folded in half at some point and there is nothing on the back.
This comes from the Nathan F Leopold collection at the Chicago History Museum.

March 14 is the anniversary of Albert Einstein’s birth in 1879.
Among our collections by and about Albert Einstein, the archival material we have in the Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology holds some gems—many of which are available online. (The image above is from our collection of scientific portraits, of which there are more for Einstein.)

But the best, IMHO, is this personality quiz that Einstein filled out for the sculptor Gina Plunguian. She was a friend of Einstein’s, and at one point worked for him as his secretary. Who are you? has always been one of my favorite things in the Smithsonian Libraries. Apparently, Albert Einstein sometimes liked to be free of clothing, and slept in the nude! But in all seriousness, it is nice to see someone as mythological as Einstein indicate that he, too, felt shy, did not crave physical exercise, and preferred low, well-upholstered furniture.

What we need now? Relax, meditation, contact with nature, stimulating positive image. August 2011, with my sister Chiarastella Seravalle, we did an on the road holiday all around Corsica on a motorcycle and we arrived back on a tow truck on the 15th of August and a end-of-life moto. It was a wonderful holiday, I forced my sister to a very basic and naturalistic style of life: sleeping where it was possible, even wilderness camping, no foam mattress, or for free in houses of unknown people. At that time I had with me a small videocamera, no smartphone. I've started to collect videos for a nostalgic moment, recording peaceful and relaxing places and sounds in order to use them like pills of welfare. Last summer I uploaded it on my youtube channel in a playlist of ASMR. Their sounds have a beneficial influence on my mind.
