24. march — after almost two wonderful weeks my vacation is coming to an end. i‘ll spend two more days visiting a friend and return to my home, although this place already kind of feels like home too. i‘m looking forward to returning in may, insh‘allah.

i myself am a half-closeted non-binary/genderfluid person (i use both labels but am not sure which fits me best and that's okay!) and i use they/them pronouns, though in my mothertongue there's no specific pronouns I feel comfortable with. i don’t regularly identify as transgender though i do experience gender dysphoria. i identify as demisexual and pansexual. i have a cis male partner, which doesn’t make me any less pansexual.

october 16 / doing my first project for architecture school. ten different materials used for building in different epochs of architectural history combined to build a cuboid with geometric shapes.

december 03 / another project that got me an a! ngl i’m pretty much at the top of all my classes already.

december 20. — i packed up most of my childhood bedroom today. tomorrow i'm getting the keys to my first own place. i lived in this bedroom for a decade. it's so weird to think about, in a couple weeks i'll be falling asleep in my own apartment. i'm both excited and scared; excited to furnish my place and live on my own, scared it might get lonely. i can't even begin to explain the emotions i'm feeling right now. it's still a miracle for me that i'm at this place now. four years ago i required 24h care in a mental health facility, now i am moving out. i've come a long way and it's hard to see this most times but right now i just see it so clearly it's honestly incredible.

October 29. / I had such a good day today. Online lectures started at 9.00am and lasted til 4.00pm and I just got downstairs after finishing a dozen sketches and technical drawings for my current project and discussing it with my professor and my fellow students.

august 28th / the first week of my two week internship to get to know my workplace as of october is over and i truly love it. my colleagues are incredibly welcoming and open and i enjoy chatting with them during smoking breaks a lot as i do everything i do there; drawing by hand and on archi-cad, building models, calculating gross building volumes, visiting construction sites, preparing colleagues’ projects for presentation, playing with the office dogs, playing pool when there’s a bit of free time. for the weekend i’ve planned reading the goldfinch, and cleaning and tidying up at home, relax before the second week starts.
