hey so apparently my family heard meowing from outside earlier. it's 17 degrees. they couldn't find a cat anywhere, but the point still stands: LET YOUR PETS INSIDE DURING EXTREME WEATHER. stay safe and warm this week, bundle up, conserve energy - especially in texas! we all remember what happened in 2021!!! luckily it isn't snowing where i am, but i'm not sure about anyone else. just stay safe and take care of your animals.
Bruh, I just realized the first chapter of the first fanfic I completed has exactly 10 paragraphs. My writing does tend to be short and sweet, but holy shit, I did not realize I used to write that short.

Birthday :)
As some of you know, yesterday was my birthday. I think after a certain age you stop feeling like its your birthday and it just feels like an ordinary day. The weather was too violent to travel anywhere; I was supposed to be driven to Toronto to live with my boyfriend for the days that I am in school but the highway was too icy and my dad didn't want to risk our safety. Understood. Still sucked though because my boyfriend had stuff planned for us and I was packed that morning. I spent most of my day in my room sleeping, reading, or on the phone with Thierry. We almost didn't get to head out that day but we were finally able to go in the late afternoon. Because I am technically living at his place during the week, I brought a bunch of stuff to help organize our space, including some clothes and books for myself. Thierry and I were still able to do a bit of something to celebrate my birthday; we ordered take out from a nice Asian restaurant down the street, and he treated me to a couple bubble teas :) Bubble tea is my favorite! When we got back we put in the Hobbit and then enjoyed dinner and some birthday cake his mom and he bought for me. All in all a pretty average day. Nothing too special. I had bought some ice wine for the occasion but being sick I didn't want to mix my cough meds with wine..lol I had to get up pretty early for the commute today. Trying to get myself through the day without having the urge to hit people..lol Only a few more months until I am done at this school and can finally say adios for good. After that, who knows?
