5. Is there a book you own, but aren’t planning on reading?
HAHAHA there are many. I mentioned in my previous answers that I do a lot of library books and Kindle books these days, but in my youth I was addicted to the used book sale at my local library, and would go every month and buy, like, 10 books for $4. A lot of them never made it to my current apartment, and are probably rotting in my parents’ basement, but I’ve also picked up more and more non-used books over the years, and have a fair amount of unread books on my bookshelf here that I have no interest in picking up anytime soon, at laest. Though you never know!
22. How do you organize your books?
So, I don’t know what happened to me, but I used to be a person who could be irritated TO DEATH by simply unalphabetizing her DVDs. Like, that was a known Way To Annoy Amy when I was in college. Now? I literally do not give a shit. We have one big bookcase in our sunroom and it has probably 30% more books on it than technically fit, and we (meaning my roommate and me, because some of them are hers) just kind of cram things in there however they fit. To be fair, it’s not visible in the main part of the apartment, so not like anybody sees it. But still.
I also have a random stack of books on a table in my little reading nook, and a few on a shelf in my bedroom, etc, but no rhyme or reason there either, except that those are mostly ones I’ve yet to read (see question 5).
Maybe one day when I have my own place and decorate it nicely and stuff, I’ll go back to caring, but right now, meh?
