Pyrrha had been told she was the long member of team JNPR on this island, that she was truly alone on this island. But Pyrrha never gave up on finding her teammates, and she would often find herself wandering the city at night, hoping with all her heart to find another familiar face within the crowd.
Tonight was the same as so many nights, with the former gladiator wandering near where the taxis so often dropped new people off. She wasn’t expecting anyone particular, maybe with luck she could make a new friend. But she spotted a familiar stripe of color, along with a green outfit she could never forget. That had to be him.
She called out, her left arm shooting above her head to flag him down. There had been times when she thought she had seen her teammates on the island, only to be disappointed by mistaken identities and mirages of the mind. But this would not be such a time, not if she was right. Pyrrha stopped just inches away from the male, her eyes finally confirming what she thought was just a trick. This was Lie Ren, her friend and teammate. The person she would so often share her fears with and find herself soothed mere moments later. The greatest chef she had ever met. There were so many ways she could describe Ren, but her mind instead chose to focus on the most important part.
“Thank the gods you’re here Ren. Everyone told me I was alone on the island. But I’m glad they were wrong.” She smiled, her eyes watering ever so slightly. She was so happy, even if she knew Ren would have questions for her. “I’m just happy you’re here now.” She held herself back from hugging him, knowing the shock of a girl he must have once thought was dead appearing before him was more than enough of a surprise. “Do you know where you are?”
