9. Favorite lore dragon you own?

Tarragon, Ingot, and Ricotta are usually my go-to’s for this (though most Ricotta’s lore isn’t even on her page fadsfd) but for a change of pace I’m going with Ardest! He’s just a sweet boy who is now living his best life… a clumsy oddball of a mirror who was never any good at hunting and had difficulty fitting in with other mirrors. He was pretty young when he left his not-very-supportive family to try and pursue his dreams to be a painter! He was a starving self-taught artist who traveled city to city in western Sornieth, trying to sell his works. He was hardly famous, but he was managing well enough and came to have some decent connections in the local art communities. Eventually, he got into contact with Crystalspirit, who runs an art gallery in Florabrisa, and the two worked out a deal to put on an art-exhibit for Ardest’s works! So Artist came to stay in Florabrisa for a few months. Florabrisa, as pretty as it is, really isn’t the best location for selling art, but Ardest really grew into the community and fell in love with Keiji, an assistant chef in Florabrisa’s big kitchen. So even if his art isn’t getting as many viewers as would be ideal, he’s pretty set to stay for now c: (and he doesn’t have to worry about starving now anyway. Food is free in Florabrisa, plus he’s a great taste-tester for Keiji haha)

I do like to think that in the future Keiji and Ardest will so some travelling together around Wind so Ardest can do art shows in more prosperous areas again eventually! But they are both happy just chilling in Florabrisa for now.

Sludge and/or tapir? :D

Sludge is a fun gene! I’m not very into goopy things honestly but...well, as Goodra had already proven for me, I don’t mind goop quite as much when it’s dragon shaped! And I think it makes for a fun gene! I like the little splotches of accent colors it can throw in too. My fave dragon with it is Ghoulash! His rust primary surprised me by having the purple accent that went with his wings. look at his purple toes! that’s all slime baby. I was happy to make him my first Sludge/Slime dragon! I have one more and hope to get a couple others in the future! might make my birthday blueberry kid have slime? (wait i just realized i spent this talking about Slime? I got the two mixed up but honestly they are the same gene to me, my opinion on one isn’t different than the other haha)

Tapir!! Tapir was one of my favorite genes at one point. I’m not sure if it still is but I enjoy it a lot! I like the sleek vertical stripes in contrast to most other stripey genes being horizontal. I think it makes a striking look! Ardest was my first Tapir dragon, I bought him when the gene was new just to give it to him! maybe not the smartest purchase I’ve made but I have 0 regrets c: (and i know some people don’t like the dots on the face, but hey, mirrors avoid that problem! they have no dots at all! i personally think the dots work on a case-by-case basis, but omg i definitely understand it making people uncomfy too dsfgfd)

57 and 71

57. Which dragon is the most physically fit? Which is the least?

Oh man I have so many dragons, trying to choose just one for each is not easy. Let’s see…

I think Cherrytide would be my most physically fit! She’s young, hardy and hearty, easily the strongest dragon in the lair (though being a Guardian certainly helps with that haha) and she takes her workout regime and training very seriously! She’s very muscular and has a healthy appetite too. She’s definitely a dragon you can count on for any athletic feat! Except maybe more agility-based things, she’s very bulky haha… I do also wanna give a shoutout to my mirror Ingot (who is the one training Cherry!) Ingot’s a strong contender of the title too, but she’s fast approaching middle-aged and while she’s still easily one of the strongest and fastest dragons in my lair, Cherry gets the edge by being in her prime.

As for least physically fit? That’s definitely tougher competition in Florabrisa tbh dasdsdf there’s like…only 5 dragons here who regularly use the gym haha.

I was swimming with options but I’ve ultimately settled on Ardest! He doesn’t have an athletic bone (muscle?) in his body. Despite being a mirror, he’s a worse hunter than the average tundra….. His parents weren’t very approving of him, so he’s spent most of his teenage years on the street, very much a starving artist. (He definitely prioritized art supplies over food. If he couldn’t make art, he’d have even less of a chance of being able to purchase food so…) Of course, food deprivation would not have helped his body or musculature any :c But now that he’s in Florabrisa, he is doing much better foodwise! His fitness will probably never quite recover though daadfg

Funnily enough, his boyfriend Keiji is another contender for the least fit title haha… Keiji’s always been a rather sedentary boy, preferring reading books in bed over roughhousing with the other kids. And he’s very heavy so I imagine give his total lack of athletic enthusiasm, he tires pretty quickly…still better than Ardest though. (of course both boyfriends probably are quite happy that the other isn’t athletically inclined at all haha. who needs sportz anyway) And another contender is Marglobe, another malnourished mirror. Given he almost exclusively eats tomatoes, he’s certainly worse than Ardest in that department, but he is a farmer so the vigorous work that would require gave him a slight edge too. (and his husband Cinnyris is doing what he can to make sure Marglobe is getting as much nutrition as possible at least sadsaf)

71. Who’s the weirdest dragon in your clan? Why are they weird?

Oh man, has my lair got some weirdos… Marglobe mentioned above could certainly count. But let’s see.

There’s Floaf! It’s..debatable if they’re actually a part of Florabrisa, they seem to have existed in the general area longer than the clan’s been around. They’re the local swamp cryptid and they only make honking noises. They’re incredibly illusive, having only been recently found (and even then a lot of the lair hasn't been able to actually find them despite the insistence of some dragons that they totally exist sdadff) No one really knows what their deal is, but from what limited interactions there’s been, they seem friendly enough!

As for other contenders, so many of my coatls could count… I have at least 3 who outright refuse to eat fish haha. Ricotta probably is the weirdest of them being an alleged goddess obsessed with pasta who often talks and walks in an bombastic manner, befitting a goddess such as herself.)

Woo Thanks to the wind dom, I got Ardest fully gened!! He used to be Cherub/Falcon/Thlyacine.

Also help now that I bought tapir I found out how many dragons would look amazing in it aaa

I just started musing about my mirror Ardest....I've decided, he chose the name Ardest himself. He actually intended to name himself Artist (so thered be no doubt about his chosen profession) but he is very bad at spelling and didn't realize for awhile, and now Ardest is his Brand so he cant fix it (and the misspelling is more endearing anyway, at least according to a certain tundra)

But now he has his tundra bf Keiji who is good at writing and spelling and Keiji helps Ardest make titles and descriptions for his art pieces c:

...if Ardest's name is anything to go by, before meeting Keiji his art pieces probably had very literal titles. (Or were just "Untitled" ...or keysmashes)

Id been wanting to have a boyfriend for Keiji the tundra but none of my other dragons really felt right for him.

But I just got that mirror last week and realized he actually was pretty much perfect?? So they are now boyfriends woo!!
