as someone new to the cccc fandom i keep seeing all of these AUs of HMS with different names and I want to look into them more but it seems like theres a lot. got any sort of starting guide or direction if ur willing to share it?

OH god. no I do not unfortunately. I can't say there is any big directory. I know CJFS has AU threads, CJFS being the fan discord server.

As for my aus, I do try to use tags of names of each of my aus! Like sun down or eleutheromania or lacuna or swap! But for others. I can't say whether or not its the case?

If I had a bit more time tonight I'd go through and find all the big long rambly posts I've made but there are quite a few!

I know ones under the cjverse or cjverse chatroom tag are also from an rp I'm in which may have stuff from other people too.

i love tpoh and your art and humor and insight is always amazing. i mean nothing by this ask except respect and admiration with some tongue-in-cheek humor. but man, i have no fucking idea who those ducks are and at this point i'm kind of afraid to ask.

BLESS YOU ANON FOR YOUR COURAGE AND KINDNESS the two ducks I draw (a lot) are Magica de Spell and Gladstone (who is actually a goose. well. half goose. everyone calls him a goose though) and they are from the Donald and Scrooge McDuck duck comics! I love them so much that I started drawing fan comics, which I always wanted to have a go at but it's only in the last three or so years that I actually really commited to the task.

I really recommend seeking out and reading the originals which is part of why I continue to draw the fan comics: to encourage people to read them! If you have a good adblock I have a links post here which could help you. Go to the paragraph titled 'good stuff stories'. Fair warning it's been a while since I made that post and haven't checked the links but the main site is still going and I use it to read other things which DISNEY MAKE. IMPOSSIBLE. TO GET HOLD OF. If there was a better way which would give money to the artists I would recommend that, but there isn't at the moment. Alas.

so i know literally nothing about ducktales but i DID read all of yourdoodle comics and i???? gladstone and magica are both so good im.,,.., thank you so much i love these stupid birds and its highlyunlikely ill ever know anything about them other than stuff youve made hdhdhdsb also i kinda wanna draw them now??? i know literally nothing about drawing ducks i only draw Not Ducks but your art.,,. your comics.,,,.. they make me WANT to draw the ducks im. so thanks yeah

marvellous! this is hugely good yes, but I would recommend reading the comics too! if you can, hunt down some Carl Barks and Don Rosa books, you can find real nice hardback compilations of them (my local library was a saviour for that)- I do have a links list on my blog… if you search for ‘links post’… but I’m trying not to promo that post so much because a) they are posted on a pretty grotty site with lots of bad ads and b) honestly buying the material or reading at a library is always a better way to go about things
