so refreshing reading a fic in which Allen is shy and scared around Kanda and then going back to canon where he calls him stupid every time they're on screen together

i don't remember exactly now, but after ark arc kanda was looking for allen with lavi or alone, and somehow, i still don't know way~

and holy shit, drawing a piano is HARD

Thinking about this Kanda smile. That this is the kind of expression he’d have when seeing Allen get older, and being able to do so alongside him. 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and so on. It’s almost the sweetest form of a reality check for him. Because he was so convinced Allen and him would die earlier. Even before they had any form of history between them, Allen was a doomed martyr and Kanda himself a quickly draining hourglass.

But then they survived. He saved him. They have a life together.

So now he has this smile. A tender expression that shows Kanda can’t even pretend that he isn’t completely enamored with the beansprout these days.

Trust. Loyalty. Communication.

They really went from “you’re gonna die soon… I hate your type.” (Kanda to Allen, Chapter 8) to “I don’t want such fragile people anywhere near me!” (Allen to Kanda, Chapter 227). The tables have turned…..
