I actually really liked America's Best, I could actually afford it and the quality and selection was great
Oh, I’m not doubting the quality and selection, and I will be going there because it’s the only place I can afford. It’s just that the particular one I can get to has really bad reviews for customer service.
I’m sure there’s a disparity because people always want to talk about what went wrong and not about what went right (I also do this and have started writing reviews for when things go right but it’s taken an effort) but ultimately what it comes down to in the reviews is that this location is almost always understaffed and there are just not enough people to keep up with how busy it is, which I can understand is frustrating and can cause mistakes.
There’s one very low rating that goes into explicit detail about what happened with frequent updates and it all boils down to “The staff was very helpful, when my glasses started getting stress cracks after a few weeks they were happy to help me get them replaced free of charge, but I’m keeping the low score because it was an hour-long wait each time I went in.” Which makes me hopeful, especially since I’m not too bothered by the glasses I have now, it just must be very frustrating for people who have tight schedules.
