I actually really liked America's Best, I could actually afford it and the quality and selection was great

Oh, I’m not doubting the quality and selection, and I will be going there because it’s the only place I can afford. It’s just that the particular one I can get to has really bad reviews for customer service.

I’m sure there’s a disparity because people always want to talk about what went wrong and not about what went right (I also do this and have started writing reviews for when things go right but it’s taken an effort) but ultimately what it comes down to in the reviews is that this location is almost always understaffed and there are just not enough people to keep up with how busy it is, which I can understand is frustrating and can cause mistakes.

There’s one very low rating that goes into explicit detail about what happened with frequent updates and it all boils down to “The staff was very helpful, when my glasses started getting stress cracks after a few weeks they were happy to help me get them replaced free of charge, but I’m keeping the low score because it was an hour-long wait each time I went in.” Which makes me hopeful, especially since I’m not too bothered by the glasses I have now, it just must be very frustrating for people who have tight schedules.

“This is some New Year’s celebration.”

Steve winced at the sound of his partner’s voice and slowly turned to face Tony, pasting an innocent look on his face. “I don’t know what you mean,” he lied. “You look stunning, as you always do.”

“You’re in the hospital, Steve,” Tony said, stepping into the room. He looked tired as he stripped off his coat and tuxedo jacket, carelessly draping them across a visitor’s chair. His shoes followed, dumped beneath the bed. Then he went to work on his tie.

“But I’m fine. I’m only here because the doctors are being overly cautious.”

“You lost over half your volume of blood. That’s not overly cautious,” Tony snapped, but there was no real ire in his voice. They’d had this argument already, which had ended with Tony storming out. Steve honestly hadn’t expected to see him again tonight. He knew that Stark Industries always threw a massive New Year’s Eve celebration, and for Tony to slip out before midnight was a huge deal.

He held a hand out to Tony, feeling warm from head to toe when Tony took it without hesitation. Steve tugged gently, pulling his partner onto the bed and into his arms. Tony grumbled a little as he shifted around, trying to find a comfortable position for both him and Steve. Steve let him fuss, content to have Tony close.

When Tony had settled, Steve murmured, “I’m glad you’re here. I thought I’d ring in the New Year alone.”

“I saw the way that nurse was eyeing you. You’d have lots of company if you asked.”

“The only company I want is right here.” Steve kissed Tony’s forehead, his eyes, his nose, his chin, before finally finding his lips. He could feel Tony smiling as they kissed and considered it a win.

Is that just a dad thing?? My Dad still talks negatively about me getting a tattoo and I've had it for months now

Here’s the thing: When my sister got her first tattoo (very tasteful) he obviously didn’t like that she’d gotten it, but he said it was her body and her choice and her investment, and then he never said another thing about it unless asked. He thinks her tattoo is nice... he just doesn’t like tattoos in general. He hasn’t said anything about me getting a tattoo since I told him about it. He’s just not a fan of tattoos on anybody. But he’s not going to say anything about it to people. He’s not a dick.

Did those placements hurt a lot? I’m trying to plan my next tattoos and those spots are contenders

My arm definitely hurt a lot more than my shoulder, but they didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought they would in general. One of the tattoo artists described it as “a hot cat scratch” and that’s really apt tbh.
