aremay replied to your post: it tickles me that Nicholas is "in charge of the English version" of the Daily Days
There is currently, for example, a newspaper called The Forward in New York that has both English and Yiddish versions; I can imagine others printed in more than language at once in the past.
i have to wonder how many of my posts you read to look for things to correct me on :P
but thank you Tim, i like being corrected. i'm gonna have to research this more at a time when i'm not supposed to be writing an essay.
which language do you think would have been prominent enough for newspapers to print an alternate version for it in the 1930s? (apologies for the garbled sentence, omg) Italian? Spanish? Yiddish?
i must knooooooooow
I think it important to tell you that the "history" of Afghanistan and Iran you reblogged is woefully inaccurate. Perhaps the most glaring example is that it entirely airbrushes out the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979; the forcible occupation of that country by the point of the bayonets of the Red Army. It's not history - it's propaganda, perpetrated by an apologist for the Soviet Union.
That must have been in my queue... Sorry about that! Publishing so everyone can get more facts :)
I draw the line at mammals.

aremay replied to your post: I’m making a Trans* Gif. Explaining Trans… can...
Transcontinental railroad; transportation; translation for starters!
YOU GET A STAR AND A BIG HUG WHEN I SEE YOU. :)
The Philosophers' Tumblrs...
Socrates: never posts anything but occasional reblogs (with critical tags). Sometimes posts cryptic snippets about his philosophy in tag form. Spends his time sending other users multiple asks goading them into fiercely analytical arguments.
Plato: blogs obsessively about Socrates. Sends him a steady stream of fanmail and sometimes gay porn.
Sappho: all lesbian porn all the time. And sometimes tag form poetry.
Nietzsche: posts and reblogs creepy pictures and really obscure art. Reblogs rival philosophers' posts with harsh and critical commentary. Occasionally posts his own philosophies, always over 1000 words in length, never under a read more.
Sartre: reblogs ALL the gifsets. Renowned for writing the absolute best and longest tag existentialist character analysis that gives everyone ALL THE FEELS. Mostly reblogs art and gifsets but sometimes does original posts talking about his favourite characters and their existentialist journeys. Again, giving everyone all the feels.
Simone de Beauvoir: blogs the most out of all of them. All of the posts on sexual health awareness, sexual orientation, humanism, and gender. Reblogs Sartre's gifset reblogs and posts his tags with her opinions (never in tag form). Talks a lot about polyamory and reblogs a lot of Sappho's porn. Often has lengthy conversations with Sartre that clog up everyone's dashes.
Mill: does nothing but troll the social justice sallies.
