Ares never felt like they belonged anywhere- not in Amaurot, not in Elpis, not even with their friends in and adjacent to the GAP. Its one of the reasons she embraces becoming Nemo/Azem. Because what does it matter if you don't belong anywhere if instead you belong everywhere?

Which is fun since a recurring theme in Aryaille's story has been Home. Losing a home and finding a new one, carving out a corner for herself, finding home in other people. The conviction, forged in blood and tears, that she and everyone she loves WILL make it home alive.
