Thane isn't the only Warbred to have gotten a bit of bruising from that failed hunt! Poor Areto got kicked under the tail... which is the equivalent of a nutshot. Poor boy got kicked in the nards, has a bruise, and is very ouchy! His sister's trying to make him feel better, but she can't help but be a bit amused by his rather painful predicament. Look at that pout and those sad puppy eyes... poor Areto's gonna be sitting on an ice pack for a while!

The identical twins, Ariki and Areto.  Ariki identifies as female and Areto as male. They are told apart by the little ribbon they tie onto their horn. They wear them on opposite sides, with Areto wearing his higher than his twin sister Ariki. The two are the youngest in the outpost, and the newest; the greenhorns, and both of them are later gen Warbred, powerful and fast. They love to roughouse, and can often be seen tearing through the Compound after eachother in beast form like a couple cats having the 3-o-clock crazies. They are two of the eight Warbred stationed at the small border outpost lead by Commander Zardra and her second in command Thane. The outpost itself is pretty chill. All the Warbred there are askable - Zardra, Thane, Ariki, Areto, Finn, Khalon, Laran and Adjani.

 I had a lot of fun drawing this plant witch character inspired by Sophira-Lou’s video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFiwOcQh6P0&t=336s. I based this witch off the Victoria amazonica lily pads. These plants are huge with red and purple bellies that are covered in thorns to protect them from hungry fish. Plus they can switch their genders for pollination purposes. The name Areto comes from an Amazon who avenged the murder of Hippolyte and it means “Unspeakable”. I’d like to think Areto’s gender-switching tendencies aren’t welcomed by his/her community.
