So Hollow Knight thing I kept thinking of that's based off of your werebug au is a were primal aspid or a were baldur and that maybe it's like since they are underground its that they just have a sense of when the full moon is coming and maybe the chrystals like in your au could also hurt then or maybe it could be pale ore instead

i feel like this comic is the punchline to a joke no one wanted.

basically in the whole werewasp cycle, after cocooning and ravaging everything in sight, eventually the sun will set and it becomes time to revert back to normal. except instead of just waking up naked somewhere ala werewolf, the werewasp just gradually slows down and goes to sleep somewhere, functioning as its own impromptu cocoon. meaning that a while later the original troll can manage to claw their way out of the lifeless husk.

afterwards, the husk very swiftly dries out and crumbles away into a substance not unlike soft charcoal.

Aki and i decided to do a WEREWOLF rp meme with signless and psiioniic but then i decided that it couldn't just be a wolf it had to be a FULL TROLL WEREBUG MYTHOS so i've been inventing that ever since.

Harry and i ended up shooting some design ideas back and forth and I think i am happy with this design for the troll werewolf which is more of a troll monster wasp.
