Medraut's narration implies Morgause intended to babytrap Artos into making her queen but what if it had been the opposite and Artos wanted to babytrap Morgause? He was an orphan with an unknown father. Morgause was the rich heiress of a nobleman. She was a pure maiden receiving the finest education a lady of her time could get behind the secure walls of the convent. She had blue blood flowing through her veins, magic pouring out of her fingertips, a great destiny seemed to be waiting for her. Had she been a man she would have donned on the armor and become a hero that singers would have written ballads about. His love to her seemed impossible. Impossible unless he were to seduce her and take her virginity which would make her ruined in the eyes of other men and force her to marry him to avoid a scandal.
