Since you seem to both play dating sims that go more into the BL/Yaoi genreand ones that are targeted towards gay men, have you noticed any major differences? And do you have a preference between the two? For example, I've seen that the scout game artbook has detailed on every guy's dick like how much they grow when erect and all that. Do cis gay men find that sort of thing hot? It's just sort of bewildering to me
Honestly it's not often that easy to draw a hard line between those two. I use the term "gay dating sim" for either interchangeably, and tend to treat both BL and yaoi as culturally-specific terms related to either Japanese games or those that make extensive use of tropes common in that sort of Japanese media. By that metric, Full Service and Camp Buddy and its sequel would be BL...but what about Coming Out on Top? Dream Daddy? Any of the others I've talked about?
As such it's hard for me to say that I have a preference. I've never cared about the minutiae of character stats of any sort, even when they show up in other types of games like modern Fire Emblem. It just seems excessive and unnecessary to me to have to know things like characters' heights/weights, exact ages, and even sometimes blood types - I think that one is a Japanese thing?. I'm also not a size queen in real life, so of course I don't care about the dick sizes of fictional characters. (That the term "size queen" even exists is however testament to the reality that it is a big deal for some gay men.) Obviously some of these guys are too absurdly large to be believable - like Goro in Scoutmaster Season - but I get that that's a kink thing and can respect when these games step outside the realm of the purely vanilla. It's occurred to me that, while I definitely prefer my visual novels to have sex scenes, they need to have something more than that to interest me. That can be more involved gameplay elements like Full Service, kink variety like Dear Monster and others, or even just a well-told story that aims to be realistic even with darker subjects like Dead Man's Rest. That doesn't really answer your question, but as I said I don't draw much of a distinction in the first place.
Case in point, I've been following along with the demo and Kickstarter for BLits's next game Jock Studio. If their list of goals is to be believed, it's looking to be the biggest gay dating sim to have ever existed by pretty much any metric. They've got a lot of backers and are estimating two years to work on everything, but it's still a lot to conceive. I find myself just as interested in their evolutions on the standard gameplay formula as I am their plans for more and hotter sex scenes. If I'm still on YouTube in 2025 and Jock Studio actually delivers on everything that it's promising, I may have to make a video about it. My extremely petty wish for the world of gay dating sims is that eventually one of these games will become more well-known than Dream Daddy...and if I can help make that happen, all the better.

With the two smashing recent releases and REP steadily churning along in production (which is looking phenomenal!), is there already plans for another game in store since AG seems to always be producing games concurrently? Do we get a little hint or is it going to be another collaboration such as it usually is with Gallium?
A: There are plans indeed! In fact, we’re working on two new visual novels at the moment–stay tuned for more details in the next couple of months. :)
Hi! I love ReH and is there any hope we’ll ever see Jack in Red Embrace Paradisus?
A: While it’s unlikely Jack would make a major appearance in RE:P, you might very well spot him…somewhere. Probably getting into trouble.
Is Zhang romancable?
A: No, not presently. The currently 3 planned optional love interests are Dakayivani, Rosalind, and Koziol. Any additional LIs will depend on the amount of success/public response RE:P receives in Early Access and/or Kickstarter later!
How old are the male and female characters in Red Embrace Hollywood?
From oldest to youngest: Andrei > Saorise > Zhang > Randal > Heath > Aleusha > Jack > Lazarus. (Markus: ???)
Is there any tip to unlock 100% of the REH text? I can’t seem to go beyond 94% even though I have already completed all endings and have replayed it a few times already.
A: It would be very difficult to unlock 100% of the text, as there are numerous small text snippets that occur for unique blends of House/choices/ending path/route. We actually avoided making a 100% text achievement for this very reason, haha. The best advice we can give is to skip through every route with each house, and make sure you’ve visited Lazarus a second time in Markus’ normal ending. We admire your dedication immensely!
