Usually, I am very "live and let live" when it comes to fan interpretations, but, like, why is everyone reducing Fuyumura to "that gnc character" or "the she/they ever".
Like, she's intersex. This isn't even subtext, y'all realize she's all but stated to be intersex, right? And she's both demonized and fetishized for physical traits related to her intersex condition, right? Are we all on the same page here? Do you understand that she's an intersex teenager that is left intentionally in the dark about what condition she has, and as a result feels disconnected and repulsed by a body that, she feels, is uniquely wrong? Do you understand that these very same traits that she feels shame over are also used against her, either in the form of subtle and/or overt exclusion (Amaya's inability to see her as a fellow child, her almost instinctual usage of her height as a "method of intimidation") or in the form of (albeit unconscious) fetishization.
The sun is so bright ...
Happy Birthday, Popee Paraphone!
The thing that kills me to death the most about the criticism on Toby Fox is that non-LatAm folks dont understand how incredibly easy it is to appeal to the LatAm fandom as a non-Latine creator. It's so easy, we accept CRUMBS as if it was a great gift from the heavens, and that makes for some of the most loyal fans out there.
Literally just ask Yona (from Nastyona), or the creator of Rooster Fighter, or Laura Shigihara.
I cant stress enough to a person outside of LatAm how much you need to fuck up in order to have a fandom start criticizing you the way Toby is, and on that scale.
Gringos can never see one good thing happen to anyone who isn't them because they get all jealous and all "JeSuS WHeN iS iT My TuRnN!?!?!?!?" Like fuck offfffff honestly shut the fuck up
I might be connecting dots where there aren't but I feel like, not only is Deltarune to Undertale what Mother 3 was to Earthbound, but Deltarune is inherently connected to Mother 3 and analyzing them together could be a fun thought exercise. Perhaps even future plot threads of Deltarune could echo back to things in Mother 3?
I know I could definitely make a thoughtful analysis on why this take is wrong. But all I'll say is:
Brother In Christ do you think Kris liked what happened on the Weird Route?????
Look at this shit bruh we're all going to hell
