hi im alive. and thinking about fuyumura and ono
big fan of this very specific bit from the intro so i made it a gif
look at him go
I really wasn't expecting lesbian finger blasting and a dystopian nightmare society in my Santa Claus themed magical boy anime, but here we are.
Shiori Fuyumura doodle
Usually, I am very "live and let live" when it comes to fan interpretations, but, like, why is everyone reducing Fuyumura to "that gnc character" or "the she/they ever".
Like, she's intersex. This isn't even subtext, y'all realize she's all but stated to be intersex, right? And she's both demonized and fetishized for physical traits related to her intersex condition, right? Are we all on the same page here? Do you understand that she's an intersex teenager that is left intentionally in the dark about what condition she has, and as a result feels disconnected and repulsed by a body that, she feels, is uniquely wrong? Do you understand that these very same traits that she feels shame over are also used against her, either in the form of subtle and/or overt exclusion (Amaya's inability to see her as a fellow child, her almost instinctual usage of her height as a "method of intimidation") or in the form of (albeit unconscious) fetishization.
not to be a lesbian but oh my god oh my fucking god
I'm so glad that the anime is out, I love Sanda soоо much :3 ❤️🎄🎅
