We are gonna learn some more facts about mom, yeah! :D I probably won’t get to the minute details of her person and her background in the comic, because Kakashi being kind of resentful of her relies on his confusion regarding her life and death, but through the dog summoning scroll coming up next I’m hoping to cram a couple of wolf samurai Mom headcanons :3c

Why do you call NH a "self-insert" ship?

Well, self inserting is when the reader inserts himself or herself into a character usually through means of projection (An unconscious self-defence mechanism characterised by a person unconsciously attributing their own issues onto someone or something else as a form of delusion and denial.)

Self insert type characters tend to be written in an idealized form, even if what they are doing is objectively bad it’s presented by the author in a positive light. Additionally they have issues and personality types that are relatable to a big number of people.

Naruhina/hinata checklist:

- Character pulls stunt as bad as thinking of crush’s hand in front of corpse but author makes scene into a ‘moment’ ✓

-Character is oh so shy, has daddy issues, trying to prove themselves to dad who only likes sibling >:( likes boy who is love with another girl and gives her no attention :( ✓ I have screen shots of the ugly clique who stan her literally saying ‘i see myself in her’ and my friend hates her because ‘I see myself in her and she’s pathetic and it makes me sad that i was once like that'

- Incredibly defensive fan base who’s first reaction to criticism is ‘WELL SHE IS BETTER THAN THE GIRL HE LOVES!’ ✓

- the insane amount of ‘he belongs with her not sakura, shes always been there waiting for him to notice how perfect theyd be together’ taylor swift bullshit   ✓

Exactly the second somebody is more of a paranoid anxious wreck in public than I am, I am on top of shit. Someone suggested I’d make a good EMS or something because of that lol.
