1: sexuality headcanon: Sorry of the boring answer, but I’m gonna go with straight.

2: otp: Jessica.

3: brotp: I’ll have to go with Finch, but it’s a close call with Fusco

4: notp: Joss. I loved their platonic relationship and that kiss just never existed.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: All his cooking comes from his biological mom. Food is clearly important to him and cooking brings him comfort.

6: favorite line from this character: I wanted to say thank you, for giving me a second chance.

7: one way in which I relate to this character: John and I are very different persons, with quite different problems. I guess I do try to be a good person.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: His inability to flirt (not that I’m any better to tell the truth).

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Totally a cinnamon roll under that thick assassin layer.

"Before the beginning" for the writing meme :D

Thank you for the ask @argylepiratewd! It was helpful to get this scene written out for reference purposes. This part happens before the beginning of the story. I had another scene in mind, but realized it didn’t really happen prior to the start. So here’s this instead. It was a little hard to write -- poor Jack. :(

Jack was trapped in a dark place. He tried day after day to call upon his Nephilim powers to force the bars of the cage to open. But he was left frustrated and more afraid as the hours, the days went by. Lucifer, his father only in blood, had managed to beat him. Jack hated that he was confined to this place, unable to get his powers to work.

He wondered if the cage he was in was suppressing his powers as he did not have handcuffs on him. And Jack knew that those “angel cuffs” could dampen angelic powers. So it just had to be something in the Cage -- maybe the spell work nullifying his powers was on the cage’s metal bars? That had to be the most likely explanation.

Yet Jack wasn’t deterred. He had to return to his family. With Lucifer on the loose, Jack dreaded to find out what he would do. He worried especially about Sam since he had suffered great trauma thanks to Lucifer. The thought of Sam -- who was more of a father to him than Lucifer ever was -- confronting Lucifer made Jack very anxious.

As he thought of Sam facing off against Lucifer -- of Cas and Dean fighting by his side, Jack fought harder to free himself. They needed him. He focused, and demanded his powers to surface -- to overcome this obstacle. He was supposed to be more powerful than an Archangel.

He could do this. Jack would not accept defeat. Especially not now.

"Quiet" for the WIP guessing game

Thank you for the ask! It’s not actually quiet, but it’s a form of it, so I’m counting it. :)

Benoit laughed quietly, but looked appreciative at her answer. She loved this little family she had found her way into and leaned in closer as they continued dancing, laying her head on his chest. Benoit knew that she loved him, and Charlotte, but it was becoming clearer to Marta with every day that what they were building here was something that could last a very long time if they wanted. And she wanted it, so very badly.

Fanfic Writer Friday/Saturday: Favorite kind of thing to write?

There are 2 things I really like to write: Angst and Fluff. I love writing angsty character studies, or put them in some heartbreaking situations (but always with a happy ending). Most of the time, if I hurt physically a character (like a gunshot or something), it’s mostly a way to explore the emotionally turmoil that this situation puts their partners in. Think, Finch worrying about John being shot. John worrying about Finch being kidnapped and in danger. Think Peter worrying about Neal being kidnapped AND shot LOL.

But, since I have a hard time actually hurting the characters I love, I often use stuff that happened in canon and write extensions or missing scenes. That feels easier for me. And I really like writing canon compliant things, writing as many canon details into my fics.

And then, there’s all the fluff stuff. I guess I wrote more fluff in the White Collar fandom. I find it a bit more difficult in the POI fandom cause it’s a much more angsty show. But pure innocent fluff is also my jam.

Fic Writer Ask Game: 2, 17, 26

2. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?

I’d say about 50/50. Though the fics I read lately are generally on the shorter side cause I have less time than I used to. Real life, you know...

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

too much, but I guess like most people ?

26. What’s your biggest distraction when writing?

The internet in general. And also, having to research something in an episode and getting myself getting caught up by the episode and forgetting to stop it.
