Fluffcember Day Twenty
Prompt: Song
Violet had realized something, completely unrelated to driving, during the times Aria had dragged her to the car, forcing her to practice. It wasn't that Aria was stubborn (she knew that already) or that cars seemed to be a reflection of their owner (Aria's was neat, but somehow always smelled like coffee and had a stack of free drink cards in the door) or even that Aria was a dangerous person to have in the passenger seat (and not because she yelled and freaked out, but that she was a horrible influence that wanted revenge for every perceived driving slight).
No, she had realized that even if someone couldn't sing, there was no resisting the urge to blast the music, roll down the windows, and screech the words to the world.
And now Violet recognized the signs, knew exactly when Aria would reach over and put the volume alarmingly high, singing along happily -but definitely not skillfully- to whatever song had caught her interest.
And with enough coffee, and the right kind of mood, Violet had learned enough to sing right along with her!
(But with just a tiny bit more skill. Violet admitted to being petty enough to be happy about that!)
