🌠 + Ariana!

Oooooh well I do wish I’d had more time to really delve into her role as one of the Orphan assassins and had more time to show her, Violet and Garrett working together before they got into the supernatural hit list stuff, like possibly starting her story earlier. But I also do like how I jumped straight in, but maybe one day I’ll do more little oneshots of her past!

What would Genevieve and Arianna see if they faced the Anuk-ite?

Oh look here’s a super late reply because I somehow missed this in the inbox??? Anyway thank you for sending this! What a great question! I think Ariana would see Garrett and Violet taunting her, especially Violet. She carries a lot of guilt for killing Violet and I think she fears Violet wanting to punish her for what she did. And Genevieve would probably see one of her abusive foster parents returning into her life. 

Alternatively they’d both see the Donas taunting them because damn the Donas is something to fear once you see what they’re capable of.

🌟 When your OC loses all hope, who do they turn to first? What helps make them feel better? What calms them down and reassures them? Why?

Well Ariana used to turn to the Orphans first, especially Garrett with all his calm words of wisdom, but now they’re both gone she tries to turn to Liam or Genevieve instead. Genevieve is probably more likely since lately Liam is showing to be less reliable, but the two of them generally know how to help calm her down. This generally involves a lot of hugs and reassurances and reminders that they love her and that nothing she can do will change that. It doesn’t always work, but when Ariana is losing hope, it’s the best chance people have at calming her down before she causes more chaos.

🌙 If your OC could have one wish come true what would it be and why? Would there be consequences to this wish or would they regret it once they get what they want? What would they give in return for this wish to come true?

Ariana would wish that she’d never put the dagger into Violet’s chest. Even if it means not triggering her powers, no matter what the consequences, she would take it back. That is her biggest regret and she would willingly give up her powers to make that wish come true. She’d give up being part of Scott’s little group, she’d even probably give up Liam, she’d give it all up to have her little family back together and to wipe the memory of her own bloody hands from her mind forever. Killing Violet was the worst thing she had ever done. (at that point in time anyway. trust me we’ve barely gotten started....)

Well we’ve already seen Ariana meeting Liam in TMD so I’m going to do a little Mason/Ariana drabble instead because I miss them and I’m trying to get my muse for a particular scene between them coming up in FFY... so enjoy!

Ariana stared as she watched the darker skinned boy sitting across the chemistry lab from her, taking in the way he easily spouted off the answer to the teacher’s questions. 

“Looks like you’ve got competition,” Violet snickered from beside her, where she was casually doodling over her own notebook, having tuned out of the class discussion long ago. 

Letting out a huff, Ariana rolled her eyes, adjusting herself in her seat to get a better look at the student. She supposed it was stupid, assuming she’d still be the smartest one in the room in the move up from elementary to middle school and it was only natural that she’d meet new students, but she was still wary of this new smart student. 

She didn’t realise she was glaring at him until the bell rang, signalling the end of class. 

“Sorry, are you okay? Ddi I do something?” the guy asked as he suddenly appeared next to Ariana’s desk. 

“What?” Ariana frowned up at him, attempting to feign ignorance as Violet let out a snort, moving past to meet Garrett at the classroom’s door. 

The guy shuffled his feet awkwardly. “Uh, you just...you’ve been glaring at me for the last twenty minute?” 

Ariana let out another huff as she packed up her books, doing her best not to slam them all together in irritation “No. Sorry. I just...I’m used to being the chemistry wiz. You just caught me off guard. And you were kind of showing off.”

The guy let out a chuckle, shaking his head. “Trust me, that’s all I’ve got. I just wanted to make sure the teacher didn’t hate me first day of class. I’m going to need your help, for sure. I’m Mason.” he offered with a grin.

“Ariana,” she returned the introduction, tilting her head as she felt herself relax a little, the threat officially squashed and a new friend acquired.

Hey Georgie! You know, we’ve never talked about a crossover between Ari and Laurel, and I would LOVE to talk about them

Ahhhhh yes our girls!!! 

I can totally see them bickering all the time but actually becoming really close friends eventually

also bonding over their similar druid/witch abilities!!

and ari being one of the first ones to notice when laurel is struggling

they’d definitely develop their own little code and no one else in the pack knows what’s going on but they get each other

arguing over stupid petty things all the time mostly because ari can’t help being snarky and laurel won’t put up with it like the others

despite the bickering they’d definitely go into danger headfirst to save each other!!

“ Why didn’t you tell me? “

Ariana stared at Liam, her heart pounding as she tried to form the right words, her hands shaking by her sides as they always did these days. 

“Ari? Is it true?” Liam repeated his question, his bright blue eyes looking intently at her. 

If Ariana didn’t know better, she’d say he was worried about her but these days she wasn’t so sure anymore. These days it was more likely that he was worried about the others and how Ariana would affect them. It was a miracle he was standing here at all. So maybe it didn’t matter if she told the truth now. If she admitted the horrors she’d done. If she admitted to the monster she was becoming. 

“Yes.” Ariana spoke finally, giving the briefest nod of her head. 

Liam inhaled slowly, processing. “Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked after a moment, his hands running through his hair as he shifted his weight between his feet uneasily. His brow was furrowed in concern, but there was a hint of pain in his eyes, betrayal and a lack of trust coming through. 

Ariana couldn’t help letting out a scoff. “Because I didn’t want you to look at me like that,” she said bitterly, hugging her arms around her thin frame. 

“Ari, we’ve both done things we regret. I know your past,” Liam said, his voice softening slightly. “I don’t judge. I can’t judge.”

“But Scott will,” Ariana countered, hugging herself tighter to try and hide the way her hands were shaking. “He’ll never forgive me if he finds out. I told him I wasn’t a killer anymore. I told him that was in my past. But I killed her. She’s dead and her blood is on my hands.” 

Liam faltered, his eyes widening at her small outburst. “But...but it was an accident, right? Scott can’t blame you for that.”

Ariana took a slow shuddering breath as she stared at the concrete, the devastating words hovering on her lips. She could lie. She could nod and agree. She could let him save her. But it was too late now. She knew that. 

After a moment, Ariana lifted her gaze to Liam. “What if it wasn’t?”

When it’s all over what will Ariana do? So what’s she gonna do while Stiles is in the FBI and Scott’s a vet and so on?

Ahhhh well that largely depends on which route I go with the ending because I currently have several different paths I’m exploring and each is more angsty than the next.... Haha but if all goes well I really like the idea of Ariana working in some kind of botany or science, maybe even working as a Chemistry teacher at Beacon Hills High since she has such a good understanding of it all. I think she’d want to stay close to her pack after everything they’ve gone through and she’d want to try and be a good person and help students. She’s already basically the school’s science tutor so I’d like her to carry that through and become an actual teacher :)

How much or in what ways do you think ariana's character arc would change if she never became an assassin?

Ooooh what an interesting au idea haha. I do believe in my initial plans for Ariana she was actually part of a wolf hunting family so she wasn’t necessarily an assassin but she’s always been a killer :P I think if she’d never become an assassin she would have been a lot more reliant on Lucas, probably living with him if she wasn’t still stuck in the crappy foster home, and she wouldn’t have found out about the Benefactor’s hit list because the Orphans wouldn’t have been on the killer radar and she probably wouldn’t have tried to kill Scott and his pack, which means less tension between her and Liam, although she’d still be anti-werewolf. 

So I think the story would obviously change quite a bit, especially regarding Violet and Garrett, and Ariana would probably be a lot more naive since she wouldn’t have spent a year murdering people :P Ariana would probably carry a lot more frustration and anger though because assassin work was a bit of an outlet for her, giving her a weird sense of independence and control over her life. So her arc would definitely change quite a bit if she wasn’t off slipping poison into people, but she’d still be very close to the bitter jaded Ari we all love :)
