My favorite fanfics rn are the ones of Z-Team doing nice things for Robert just because they can and Robert being like "Why the fuck are they doing this??"

So I was thinking about why these are so good and decided to articulate it more for other people. Why not, you know?

If yall have ever been isolated or rarely have good friends then it's easy to get used to not knowing how to reciprocate or receive good things in your life. It feels like a foreign concept that a friend will just remember something you said and a few days later they do something nice and just say "I remember you told me this, so I thought I'd do this thing for you."

Like...What?? You did this of your own free will?? Foreign concept, unknown territory. Actually kind of horrifying. As someone who's been tackling this thought process for a good few months I think of these types of fanfics a lot.

Robert would probably feel similar. In the game, he doesn't mention any friends his age. All he had was Chase and very occasionally Elliot and his dad before things went downhill between them. Even after that happened it was just Robert and beef. His suit doesn't count.

So when the Z-Team start to warm up and do random shit that remind them of Robert of course the guy is going to initially get suspicious. Not because they're former villains (although that does contribute a bit), but because he's never had anyone do this stuff for him before.

So it would definitely take months for him to accept their weird interpretations of love languages, but he'd get there. Eventually.

—hiatus—

I totally forgot to mention, but I’m pretty much now officially on a volturi-content hiatus indefinitely.

I've pretty much been on one for like two years, because of all my trauma being the cause of me not being able to draw. 

Realistically nothing much will change, I will just be focusing on other art content for a while, without feeling guilty all the time for not posting volturi-specific content. I’ll still make posts about them and discuss headcanons, but I really feel the need to put an Official Hiatus stamp on the Volturi art, because its something thats caused me years of unnecessary stress.

I will come back to it eventually, I always do. It’s my forever series. I still think about them non stop. I just think its healthy for me to stop trying to force consumable artwork out of them when I’m more than content to just daydream about them all day instead, haha. 

Also, its only fair some of my other fandoms get some love after years of hyperfixating on anything but them.

Hope this makes sense. I’ll still be online and make posts. Maybe even Volturi posts. But just probably not any actual artwork for a while. Again, nothing is really changing, I haven’t posted proper Volturi art in years anyway, but its more of Officially marking it off in my head so I dont consume myself out of guilt.

Honestly, I’d like to see more of this. Give me Bartimaeus looking at a map and wondering why [x country] isn’t on there. Or he uses a Sumerian proverb that gets completely lost in translation. Maybe he goes on a rant in a language that hasn’t been spoken in a thousand years. I want to see his age show.

An Update:

Hi all! So if ya didn’t notice, this blog is mostly empty. From like original content. Mostly reblog, which is good! That’s how tumblr works!

But I do have a side blog, where I post more original content. Mind you I just started re-using it a good bit in like the past week.

But I was thinking I might just switch over to said blog? I won’t disclose the blog yet until I’ve made up my mind. Leaning heavy towards just doing it.

The reason I’ve held off showing it yet it because, I just thought it might be weird? Since it is literally full of just one fandom. Like that’s about it.

Though now I’ve thought about it a little, why would I want a Blog that isn’t of the stuff I like? Not to say what I post isn’t! but why hide things? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’ll reblog this again probably before I make up my mind just to spread the word haha.

TL;DR

I might be switching to a fandom blog as my main.
