So. Close. Just a few more ( many )  steps and they’d find it. It had to be close. After all it wasn’t like there were that many places the Charmander could be. All Tsukishima needed was one more candy and he’d be able to { f i n a l l y) evolve his starter pokemon. 

It’d taken a lot of time, a lot of caving to Yamaguchi’s spur of the minute walks and more than a few embarrassing moments and half mumbled apologies. But so close!

“I’ll give you a piggyback ride.”

sorry to have bunched them together, guys, but i got more than i thought i would ;; this is just the first batch. i’ll do more tomorrow ‘cause i don’t wanna wear myself out. but these were super fun. i’m not totally happy with all of them, but i did try.

He smiled brightly at the small girl as she noticed who he was and began to rush towards him. Once she crashed into his legs, he couldn’t help but let out a quiet and short laugh. He hadn’t seen the young girl in so long, he was almost afraid she had grown up already. But fortunately, not enough time passed for that to happen.

“I’ve missed you too, Ari.” He said to her, prying him from his legs and crouching down, poking her on the forehead and smiling at her as he decided to now hug her back, pulling her closer to him.

“It’s been too long dear. What have you been doing all this time without me? Tell me everything.” He said to her, completely sitting down so he could put his full attention on her.

   |    ♪    Such innocence did the child radiate, that the stawberry blonde really could not help but smile at the young girl; her heart ached to protect that very same innocence she witnessed before her., to shelter it so it may never change or grow bitter by the tides of time. 

   The handed dandelion was accepted with a lighthearted chuckle and a touched smile — how can someone so precious even be real? She would pull the younger into a hug, before pulling away yet again, her previous smile wavering slightly due to the bitter-sweetness of it all;

   Ariana wanted to protect all that made her happy but Rosa learned through hardships, that wasn’t always possible. She needed to know if a time ever came when Ari is presented with such an obstacle, that she would not give up the fight either, however to shatter a child’s smile with reality would be of utmost cruelty so she would bite back her words and offer encouragement instead.

   ❝That’s a really sweet thing to fight for, Ari.. I couldn’t think of anything better..       — don’t ever give up on it, okay?❞ Don’t ever lose that innocence.

You            doin’ okay kid, want me to help you find your parents again or            somethin’?❞ He reached into his bag suddenly, a soft ‘ahh’ all he voiced           before moving to hold out a small piece of chocolate towards the young           girl. ❝Sorry, I know it’s not much, and it’s a little melted maybe, but it’s           all I’ve got right now.❞

"Of course we can, sweetie." Hanji's gloved hand told hold as Ari's own hidden under her pink mittens. No snow had fallen just yet, but it felt like it should be. A bag full of foods was slinged behind her back after a day at the market. All they needed to do now was go back home.

"Do you want some hot chocolate when we're home?"

“But not too much marshmallows. You do want to drink your hot chocolate without them getting in the way, right?” The brunet warmly smiled at her as he took the cinnamon jar and a small bag of marshmallows from the kitchen cabinet.

It had simply become too much for the man. School and work, work, work, on top of raising his precious baby girl. He could only do so much, and he needed some help...but it would be so expensive to hire someone......Thankfully, almost miraculously, he had a couple of friends from school who were looking for a place to stay, and they’d worked out a deal. Now he was going to introduce them to his daughter and see how she liked her new nannies.

Answering the door, he smiled and greeted the other two, opening it wide to allow them inside. “Come in, make yourselves at home. Ari is playing in the other room. Follow me.” He headed into the other room and smiled over at the sight of his girl...moving over and crouching down beside her. “Ari, this is Humpty and Charles,” he introduced the men, peering over at them encouragingly.
