yeah they might be full siblings, but it's definitely just as possible that they aren't (we've only met the mother on screen), so i think that might be the most reasonable explanation for their different races. obviously, the casting directors didn't care as much but for my own ease of my mind, i'll headcanon them as extremely close half-siblings <3 which makes their bond even more special imo

oh I would think that would be awesome if they were half siblings! and yeah they never really talk about race in any sort of way so honestly I have no idea what either are and so there's no way of knowing if they purposely cast people of two different racces for them

the actor who plays bellany is half-filipino but i think the person who plays octavia is white, so that's where the confusion came from. i personally think the characters are both half-filipino but i mean, they're both white-passing anyway so it's not like it's doing much for representation, honestly? idk

oh ok yeah thanks. honestly I don’t think I can say what they are supposed to be represented as but I was just bothered that the post had them as different races since I’m almost positive they’re full siblings? yes?
