this isn't cricket, but it's the fic i started years ago and still haven't finished (it's updating like once a year at this point, don't know if anyone's still following it 😭). it's called i come with warning signs (don't you see?) and it's based on the movie master (2021) starring thalapathy vijay, vijay sethupathi and arjun das.

not gonna go into the actual movie if you haven't seen it, but the fic follows das (arjun das) as he tries to get his life back on track after a prolonged period of time in a juvenile home and then a stint in jail. he goes to college where he meets and falls for psychology professor "jd" (thalapathy vijay), a man fifteen years his senior who's struggling with alcoholism. there's a lot of trauma on both sides and they're navigating their relationship in the midst of all that.

Master introduced me to Vijay, like I didn't know who this guy was but I liked the character and how he portrayed JD. And then I watched his other movies, fell in love, and wondered why doesn't thrust as sexily as he did in this short dance in Master.
