So happy to finally release my piece for The Light at the End! I wanted to honor Redfall for my submission, specifically the location of Dead Catch Records. Former Arkane Austin 2D/UI Artist Sadie Boyd did a lot of work on this location, in particular the album covers. I had a blast trying to recreate some of them for my piece!
my piece for the @thelightattheendfanzine, which just released! i wanted to create a pre-canon scene for dishonored, highlighting the family corvo lost and then found again, and hinting at the conflict to come. this image is actually huge so if you want to see all the details, either zoom in or (for much better quality) look at it in the actual zine itself :D
it was awesome to honor a studio which has created so much enjoyment for people. download it for free on itch.io (link on the zine blog) and see all the other incredible art and writing the other creators submitted for the zine! thank you so much to the mods for organizing this <3
In trying to justify closing down various Bethesda studios, including Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks, Microsoft has basically admitted game developers are doomed. When a publisher defines success not by actual success, but by whatever criteria they need to justify their mercenary costcutting, you have truly rigged the game so the studios can never win.
