Wanted to give additional thanks to several people whose tools or resources I used in the creation of this image, namely: Gildor, Markemp, Colin Basnett, Volfin, rotten-eyed, Dark Byte, Sunbeam, Akira, Cake-san, and Aaron Griffin.
Progress gif under the cut, including the very professional three second MSPaint doodle I did to initially convey my concept
I've never wrangled this many models using these many different types of assets in a single project before. Being from three different games meant they all ripped/imported differently and needed to be handled very differently. And then having to figure out how to set up materials for two games I've never done that for before (still not sure I set up those Redfall materials correctly but I did my absolute best), and trying to replicate visual effects (so many recordings of me just like shooting a gun and slowing the game down to .1% of its usual speed and trying to discern which textures were used where and how)... whew.
And then I decided my initial composition was too boring - no scratch that actually what I decided is that I love Bribón and I wanted to put Bribón in there, and then of course that also meant adding Remi, but then I needed to add something to the other images to rebalance the composition. And then I decided that I needed to do something for the background, something that wasn't just a flat texture, which meant downpatching Prey into a version where the only available flycam works oh and also writing my own photo mode for Redfall literally just to take that single screenshot.
But I think the image turned out better for it, so it was worth it. :3

So happy to finally release my piece for The Light at the End! I wanted to honor Redfall for my submission, specifically the location of Dead Catch Records. Former Arkane Austin 2D/UI Artist Sadie Boyd did a lot of work on this location, in particular the album covers. I had a blast trying to recreate some of them for my piece!
