March 1985. Jack Kirby's graphic novel THE HUNGER DOGS, the climax of Kirby's Fourth World saga, would have been more coherent if DC hadn't insisted on repurposing pages drawn for Kirby's initially submitted story, "On the Road to Armagetto!" (which covers some of the same ground, but doesn't lead to any final confrontations), and it becomes strident at times, but its power is hard to deny. "Conquer all, but one escapes! Govern all, but one dissents! Embark on genocide, and one shall rise to damn you!!"

March 1985. Jack Kirby's finale to the Fourth World, THE HUNGER DOGS graphic novel had a troubled gestation: Kirby initially wrote and drew it as a NEW GODS story, in conventional comic book format, but that version, while excellent, didn't fit DC's editorial demand for a grand finale. Kirby rearranged the existing pages and added new material to shift the focus and structure of the story, which creates some non sequiturs and continuity errors not present in the initial version, but leads up to a much more dramatic ending, with Darkseid virtually undone by his own weapons — finally destroying New Genesis, but in the process losing control of Apokolips to the "Lowlies."

What is the first anime you ever watched? I don't actually watch anime, sorry... I did see a Studio Ghibli movie once and I really enjoyed that, does that count? It was Castle In The Sky. 2. Do you prefer watching the anime or reading the manga? I don't do either, but I would venture to say I would probably enjoy watching the anime more. 3. What is your dream job and why? I would love to be an artist/musician/singer/author/homeschool mom. All of them are important to me. 4. Most embarrassing moment that you can recall. Oh gosh. I've already wore out my going-into-the-men's-room story and my pick-your-wedgie-for-you story, so here's a new one. Less embarrassing, but it's new, so more entertaining for you guys. In my church, we all wear skirts all the time. Long and complicated and if you want a full explanation why feel free to ask but for those of you who don't care I'll just summarize with the fact that I was most definitely wearing a skirt. I was at church and we were all in the alter and everyone's hands were raised. This was quite awhile back, and all the kids (including me) were up in the front and all the adults were trying to pray with their kids, and there was a lot of moving around. There were TONS of people there, so we were squished in like sardines to begin with. A few ladies squeezed by me, and apparently squeezed really close or something, because after one went by, mid-prayer, my skirt fell to the floor around my ankles. 5. What language(s) would you like to learn? Practically, Spanish. Non-practically? Norwegian, Elvish, Klingon, and all the Star Wars languages. 6. Would you buy me a 3DS? [If you had the money, anyway.] Possibly, yes. No promises, though. 7. What are some pet peeves? People who ride your tail when you're going the speed limit. I understand you want to get to where you're going, but if I'm going the speed limit, you're trying to get me to break the law so you can. And I'm not an experienced driver to begin with. Also, people who freak out over animal or plant abuse or things like that when there are our fellow humans being killed each day without a second thought. I definitely don't encourage abuse of any kind, but I would rather someone kick a dog than kill a baby. Don't you dare shun someone for how they treat an animal if you're okay with the malicious slaughtering and suffering of millions of innocent infants. 8. Favorite store? Probably Cato's. Or Hobby Lobby. 9. Favorite tumblr users/blogs? I don't want to leave anyone out, and if I miss you, I honestly didn't mean to and trust me, when people ask questions about my favorites I almost always leave out the one thing I love the most. So if I miss you, take it as a compliment.
