In the OG game when Cloud and crew encounter Sephiroth in Nibelheim and then decide to stay for the night, both Buster and Masamune reunited after not seeing each other for 5 years.
Granted their friendship and love were tested with everything that happened especially with Masa help killing Aerith and Buster being used to kill his master
Masamune is HIGHLY protective of Buster that he’s willing to try and steal Buster away from Cloud if he could.
With Rapier’s disappearance and Angeal gone, Masamune stayed by Buster’s side since he had lost his master and their best friend as well.
Both of the two are willing to do anything and put their lives on the line for the other, hell Masa is at times willing to disobey his master if he knew that he could keep Buster safe.
Buster and Masa, opposite of who they are while in bed since Buster takes control and Masa loves it. Anything romantic, Buster is usually the one that takes the lead but Masa is about the same as well.
Buster will absolutely not allow Masa into the kitchen.
