I don't to carry a gun in my own country. I don't to fear for my life in my country. "Armed Queers don't get bashed" is bullshit.
That’s fine. You are under no obligation to carry. I still remain supportive, however, of the right of all law abiding Americans to carry and defend themselves.
My choice to carry does not stem from a constant fear but rather as a desire to be prepared. I believe there is a chance that one day lethal force or the threat thereof may be needed to safeguard myself or others. I do not believe that it is a likely event nor do I desire for any situation to materialize, and I will actively attempt to avoid such a day.However, should a threat ever materialize, I do not intend to be toothless.
