"Claire, I think I need some help with some repairs on my bike.." Moira started as she walked over to her friend, cringing a little while hiding a small cut on her hand under a rag. It wasn't serious, just a tiny, stinging cut that happened when she wasn't wearing her gloves and had a little slip up. "Can you come see? I'd ask dad to help, but he might fuck it up.." ( hi hello welcome back i missed u )
“I mean Barry does have deft hands for repairs, but only if we’re talking about the inside of a gun,” Claire mused with a smirk.
Turning toward the younger Burton, Claire’s expression softened as she took in the sight of Moira, grubbied from maintenance and clearly frustrated at whatever was plaguing her bike. She knew how it felt – her Heritage softail had recently decided to recently kill its electric starter just as the weather had warmed up, but she loved that bike to pieces despite it getting on in the years and found Moira was the same when it came to her bikes.
Her eyes flicked downward, gazing a the rag being reflexively squeezed to death, and reached for her friend’s hand despite protests to assess the damage. Claire tutted as she dabbed at the small cut with the rag.
“It’s always the littlest ones that hurt the most for some reason. The chains giving you trouble again?”

Blackness. Inky. Swirling. Brooke staggered to her feet, then promptly fell back to the ground. “Shit,” she muttered. “Shit shit shit shit shit.” She felt around for something to grab onto. She found an arm.
“Burton?” she asked tentatively. “That you?”

He could never sleep so well as he used to be able to, in another time when the past was nothing but scraped egos and lecturing brothers. A smile curves onto his face and he presses the flat of his palm against it, staring at nothing and thinking of everything. It was moments like these when he didn’t care about his powers flaying about and rising from him like smoke and neon; like a sponge smushed.
“Can’t sleep?“
It’s difficult. It isn’t easy. I stopped trying to for the past year. His features affixed to a lazy smile, he visibly brightens at her arrival; a chipper early morning tone saturating each word, “usually what happens when you sleep for the oh, 16 hours straight.”
One hand beneath the weight of his shin, elbow on knee, he reaches out to her with the other with a heated palm that rested briefly — seconds — on the top of her head until he tousled her hair. His nose crinkling at his own mischief, laughing in the early morning — quietly, softly ; a barely there sound amid the whoosh of the cars beneath their dangling legs — “Good morning. ”
His mood settles into something brighter than before, and it’s all he says. It sound boyish, childish, innocent from the boy who loved nothing more then to hear his own voice, wreak mischief with loud laughter and teasing jokes.
It was nice that he didn’t have to wait for the sun to rise for his day to start. Nicer still that he didn’t need to rest in thoughts from the past just to make time go by faster so he could start his day. Sometimes it was nice to just say ‘good morning.’

I want to bother you more, but then I love that we’re both chill enough to talk every once in a while / follow each other’s shit and then just like, have a one off conversation before going quiet. Our roleplay between Murphy and Steve was a real eye-opener and one I enjoyed thoroughly enough to always wanna see your writing / rp style on my dash. Well, well, well - this was long overdue. How long’s it been? Nate / Ash was like, the ultimate ship. Disfunctional, fucked-up, enjoyable and a challenge to write. Honestly, I regret ditching Nate because of interactions like ours. You were one of the first muns to be down-to-earth, mellow and WANT to push boundaries. Our RPs were extreme and even difficult to write, but they were something special. I’ve really missed writing with you, even if my absence may suggest otherwise. I need to harass you more on Discord, hell I need to revive Nate just so we can write properly together again. I miss ya, bae.
