Armory Arts Fair
To be completely honest, I was a bit intimidated at the thought of going to an art show in NYC. I thought I’d feel uncomfortable and out of place amongst well dressed, snotty people. Although there were a few of such people, the art was so awe-inducing that I had completely gotten over that tense feeling. I loved every piece of art I saw, ranging from very sophisticated to comics and to a huge Marie Kondo meme.
(I really loved this inclusion...the diversity!! Reminds me of Into the Spiderverse because of Miles Morales!)
I was surprised to see all the mediums used. There were traditional landscape paintings, furniture of dodos, videos, and more. I remember I saw two elderly men practically freaking out over the Louvre flooding.
Although all the huge pieces were stunning, I loved all the small overlooked pieces. It's fascinating how tiny art can be and yet it holds significantly more detail than larger pieces. (I can send videos I have since I can’t upload them here)
I had to take a panorama picture because it was so hugeeeeee.
The description said that it was all cut paper! It was teeny. So much detail honestly.
P.S. Proof that I was there:
