What made you ship it?
Okay this is maybe out of left field but the same day [the episode where the hedgehog dies] aired, one of my hens, Chainsaw, whom I was very fond of, passed away. Literally had to pause the episode and go down to my mam for a cuddle bc it upset me so much to see someone else's pet die ("but the hedgehog was fine and was adopted by" I KNOW BUT I'M SOFT) and then i came back upstairs to finish the episode and hhhhhhh i was already swayed towards liking vp as a ship but pete having the chance to escape and staying? the conversation back in the room before they kissed? vegas binding pete's wrists and kissing them so reverently? the way they lay together afterwards? the way vegas' behaviour changed so suddenly after gun's visit? pete begging to be allowed kill himself because it would be the only thing he had control over?? the way vegas looked so scared and young and desperate for pete not to leave him??? uncuffing pete and pete punching him out????? PETE BEGGING PORSCHE NOT TO ASK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THEY BOTH KNEW PORSCHE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM???????? I CAN'T THIMNK ABOUTT HEM TOO MUGHCH I AM COUFHGINGUP BLOOD
2. What are your favourite things about the ship?
love it when a man is a dog. love it when a dog loves the hand that beats it. love it when a dog returns to the hand that beats it out of devotion. love it when a beat dog bites back. pete is pretty cool too
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
almost went on a rant about smth i dislike in fic which isn't the same thing fhsdjfk i also do the smart thing fandom wise and just skip past opinions i disagree w and instead play dolls with my friends so idk if i have any unpopular opinions on them as a ship? i do however think that it's so vitally important that pete is bigger and stronger and a better fighter than vegas and it kills me when people write him smaller or weaker or docile - pete could and would kill vegas with his bare hands, and this is something he and vegas are both intimately aware of because vegas would let him!!! also not an unpopular opinion but god i love that they're the only left handed members of the main cast like!!!! i've ranted about this before but the inherent physical traits of the actors across the whole cast and what those traits mean for the characters (eg. mile and apo basically the same height, barcode a lanky floppy teenager, bible shorter and slimmer than the others, bible and build both left handed) are everything to me actually!!!

moved my explanation to the next part but in short i just love their dynamic and pol my big wonderful husband!!! brief moment of awe where we all remember that this guy can play jenga with his mouth whilst holding the tray the jenga tower is on without knocking the tower hello??? hello??? is this thing on??????
2. What are your favourite things about the ship?
honestly this ship is one i tend to flip flop on? i love the idea of devotion and the intimacy of care and protection (says the guy who's a big fan of the 'falling in love with your bodyguard show? yeah no shit - you reading this rn no doubt) but when it comes to this trio i don't necessarily ship it romantically? i think it's complicated and at the same time very simple. i don't think tankhun has romantic feelings for his guards, but i do not doubt that they love him and that he cares for them in his own odd way. this guy who is terrified of the outside world and of the dangers present all around him but he routinely allows these two people to curl up in his bed and watch series and horror films? they work to defend him and keep him not only safe but happy but at the same time will physically restrain him from going outside because they know (or think) it will only be more upsetting for him to suddenly charge outside onto the street with no plan? i forget where i saw it and. sigh. yeah probably it was a 99_9 fic (take a shot) but i love the idea that part of why pol specifically is one of tankhuns guards is because he is physically capable of removing tankhun from a dangerous situation whether tankhun wants to be removed or not, and the idea that he cares enough about tankhun to do something that tankhun will not thank him for? ugh ughgu hi think i haube covid
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
probably not (see prev about staying happily in my corner) but i am resolutely in the 'tankhun is sharper than people give him credit for' camp. also i think if he hadn't been abducted that he would have killed korn years ago and he would have been much more openly vicious than 'acceptable'
