pls, i need clarification: ruby & sapphire are lesbians and very much in love with each other. garnet, though, is not ruby & sapphire, she is garnet, she is a completely new gem and this gem is aroace. do i have that right?

i’m sorry but you could literally headcanon any characters but rose, pearl, garnet, sadie and lars as aroace. (rose, sadie and lars are bisexual, garnet and pearl are lesbians) there’s so many characters that dont have canon/implied sexualities that you could headcanon as aroace. like...you don’t need garnet. you don’t. 

you really need to re-examine why you think garnet would be the best character to headcanon as aroace, because there has been multiple instances in fandom where black characters were headcanoned as such so that people could get them out of the way to ship their white faves together. 

it’s just...garnet is the embodiment of lesbian love. she sung a whole song about how much ruby and sapphire love each other. she rejected jamie because she is already in a relationship-or rather, she IS a monogamous lesbian relationship. no one is aroace for simply being in a relationship. 

stop saying garnet is aroace when you could quite literally headcanon p much anyone else as aroace. just stop.

When garnet is formed her gay feelings don't just poof away. It's part of who she is she literally IS love. Saying that she's aro erases that. I could see her being ace but aro? That doesn't fit at all.
