I started Fairy Tail recently (manga and anime) and all I could think is that : Laxus Dreyar is aroace.
And the only ship that worked from me is Fraxus but one-sided.
Because to me, Laxus doesn't seem to be interested in either romantic or s3xual relationship, as his interaction are mostly friendly (or competitive/enemy during the battle of Fairy Tail arc and before).
Everyone show their interest to another (Juvia to Grey, Leon to Juvia, Freed to Laxus etc.), but Laxus doesn't show any interest at all.
Even, in the Grand Magic Games arc (in the anime), when it's Mira vs Jenny, the all girls go to join the fight (it was most certainly fan service) but Laxus seems exasperated when Juvia also join. And still during that moment, there's the “wedding dress competition” and then we see all the boys join except Laxus (and also the others but it's self-explained).
Ofc, Laxus could also be gay but I think he would be showing his interest to men if he was gay (especially, considering Freed is probably gay and only interested in Laxus).
Because like I said, everyone show their interest to another but Laxus doesn't show interest in anyone in particular.
So, that's why I say Laxus Dreyar is aroace (also I'm ace and know when a character is also ace... mostly my guts know it and I always trust my guts).
