there’s also mynoise, which is like a self-designed background noise generator. it lets you fiddle with the specifics, which is really nice if you’re noise sensitive. i know there’s a website, i think they have an app?

Okay but I’m glad you bring this up because it confirms a weird quirk I when I was studying German and Chinese simultaneously a while back, and would accidentally construct sentences in my head that involved /both/ languages

Oh god I do that too. Every fucking time I try to say “My mom’s family is Puerto Rican” in Spanish I wind up with “Mi madre no familia es Puerto Ricojin desu”, which is really a very weirdly specific combination, what the hell

I just read Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox and Half-Moon Investigations today; tbqh I'm also on-and-off with an old-ish edition of McMurry's Organic Chemistry and may be floating in the accretion disk of 中文, about to be pulled in, so I was looking at a couple books about that. And I'm perpetually into vegetarian cookbook authors (+America's Test Kitchen actually) so Bean by Bean and The Cornbread Gospels and Heart of the Plate have been open. In the department of actual cookbook reading material: Gran Cocina Latina (as usual), All Under Heaven, and Classic German Baking

how old are you? ...22 current job/dream job? N/A /Idk, I think I could do a number of different things happily? Realistically, maybe some kind of civil, materials, or mechanical (purely alphabetical order) engineering involving transportation, household appliances, or farming? But my aspirations change... what are you talented at? Supposedly school and crafts but XD... biggest goal you're working towards or have actually achieved? let's just say I'm fighting the temptation to somehow work in biochem AND physics alongside math and...yeah X) your aesthetic? ?? textiles/math/science/~literary gothic melancholia/gardening catalogs ...?? Do you collect anything? books and yarn (& associated fiber paraphernalia) what is the topic you always want to talk about? It depends. Languages is a good bet tbh though. pet peeves: ...a handful of poorly considered social viewpoints, um...snow sticking to the bottom of my boots... good advice to give: ummm... learning most things is a slow process--take it one step at a time and don't be discouraged if results aren't immediately Good. Enjoy the journey. And most things aren't as hard as they can seem, even if you might have to search for an alternative explanation/instruction at times. recommend three songs: d'you want three I've just started to like because of listening to Push Barman to Open Old Wounds? "Legal Man", "Take This Carriage Clock and Shove It" (note: pretty swear-y), and "The Loneliness of a Middle Distance Runner"

*I started really liking this song some years ago bc "but one thing that she made clear/there was no coming onto her/there was no intellect/that she could respect/if it couldn't see/that the girl just wants to be/left alone with [Marx and Engels] for a while..." However, while there are economists[' books] I'd happily occupy myself with, those two are on my list of worst economists.
