Was amazed and pleased to discover all these hedges I kept seeing around my #Chicago neighborhood were #aronia #berry! #Aronias are know to have one of the highest concentrations of #anthocyanins (deep #purple pigment that's also an excellent #antioxidant) of all #berries. They're rather flavorless, but were excellent added to this #hazelnut, #cacao, #hempheart #smoothie with #local #yogurt and #flax. ----- #urbanforaging #foraging #foraged #vegetarian #protein #breakfast #foragedbyfolk #wildfood #wildfoodlove #freefood
