Guy at the farmers market who sold us these white currants was clearly hesitant to do so and was saying he really only started growing them this last year and was sort of warning us away from them despite their pearl like beauty cause they are super super tart but I was so drawn to them I had to have them and they have turned into the most beautiful sour finish for the blueberry tart I made to break up the sweetness and I want to go back next weekend and tell him cause it seems like he hadn't figured out a good use for them yet and said he mostly liked them cause they are so pretty
