I spent the night listening to the wind howling through the trees... it's an eerie sound... it sounds like it's speaking to me, at times... I kept hearing branches and things hitting the house and my windows... big thuds on the roof... finally, the power went out... we were in the dark for hours so I have the generator going now... Petey doesn't like the dark... she's adorable... you know you need to get the generator out when there's a 70 pound lap dog sitting on your chest... it's all calm outside right now... it's the calm before the storm... I know it's just a matter of time before the wind kicks up again... there were gale force winds blowing and if I may use an interpretation the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, they'll be back... I'm going to check out the Granite Falls later today... they should be raging!!!!
