I have high hopes that he is doing better. I'm convinced this break was good and necessary for him

Marco via Facebook - Hello dear fans, after there's been written quite a lot about me in the past days I would like to take the chance to explain my current health situation to you personally. Sadly an injury at the adductors returned during the DFB-Cup-Final and got worse during the match. Afterwards I worked hard for ten long days with the medical staff of the DFB to get in shape again and be fit for the EURO. Unfortunarely we didn't manage to get to the set healing process to make it possible for me to be fit soon enough for France. Because the medics didn't come up with a positive result regarding to the EURO, we had a long conversation alongside the national coach and decided that it wouldn't be good for the team's set goal as well as for my own health for me to join the team in France. The most important in the coming weeks is to cure this injury with the clear goal to be able to give 100% again afterwards for Borussia Dortmund as well as for the German National Team. I once again want to say a big thank you to the medical staff of the DFB for their support! Furthermore I want to thank you for all for the well-wishes and Birthday-congratulations! They give me a lot of strength and mean a lot to me! As for Joachim Löw as well as the team I wish them a lot of success and all the best for the EURO in France! I will come back! Your Marco
