We got up early, cleared the garage as prep to store some furniture we must re-home while our leaky roof gets fixed - and some skylights put in while they’re at it.
😍😍😍😍😍
Our contractor is the bomb, really heard and followed our vision and gave us a price we can work with, all while fulfilling a dream and in the midst of repairing something needing to be fixed. Win win. It might even be ready for when I’m on my leave and I can really get it cozied up and put together. Think partial-conservatory-attic-sun room conversion that will be a tech free zone 💗
Then we went to a festival that had old 50s-70s grand ole opry music playing live, Dolly and Elvis. Some great tents set up selling wares. It was a good time. Ran into some folks from Lilith’s preschool days at the YMCA local to us. It was a beautiful summer waning clear blue sky day.
The literal only pic I snapped was of some vultures this talented artist had on display and it made me think of @theunstuffedpepper and the her love of bird herding 🫶#vulture culture 🤘
Also noticed my kids have super cool windowsills hahaha I was watering plants and it was neat how they have liked them set up (they requested rocks and plants in their rooms) - J’s

Can’t remember if I shared progress of the mantel/living room and kid school spaces, but that is for future Jen.

Hello, all!! 💕
With Flufftober coming up and me not knowing how many prompts I'll manage to write responses for, I'm curious how you all would rather I post them, when the time comes:
How should I post Flufftober responses?
One work with 31(-ish) chapters
Each prompt a stand-alone work
The longer ones as stand-alone works, the rest in a single Flufftober work
Explanations:
1. One work with 31(-ish) chapters: For Whumptober last year, I published one work on Ao3 called "Whumptober 2023 - "The Man From Uncle (2015)"" and each chapter was that day's response. For example; Chapter One is titled "But Now This Room Is Spinning While I'm Trying Just To Fill In All The Gaps" and the summary reads "No. 1: Safety Net | Swooning | "How many fingers am I holding up?""
This option would be that, but for Flufftober
2. Each prompt a stand-alone work: For this option, each day's response would be published individually on Ao3, as separate works, but I would make a "Flufftober Responses" series that I would add them all to.
3. The longer ones as stand-alone works, the rest in a single Flufftober work: For this option, the responses that breach 1k words would be published individually as one-shots, and the rest would be in a "Whumptober 2023 - "The Man From Uncle (2015)"" style work, where each chapter is a different response. The multi-response work and the longer one-shots would be added to a "Flufftober Responses" series on Ao3. As a point of reference, I currently have two responses written that are 2k and 3k words respectively 😅
This decision is entirely in your hands!!! Vote how YOU would rather see them published!!
Thank you in advance!! Best of luck to my fellow creators, I can't wait to see what you all make!!! And to all the wonderful readers out there, I hope Flufftober brings you many giggles and dopamine!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
After I had my bagel, jam and cheese breakfast. I ate a bunch of junky foods and garbage (which is now how I feel go figure). Like I said, not eating the healthy... just.. eating. With saying this, I'm making it my mission to assure I'll have a decent supper. Even if it will be a late one.
It's date night! A meaty pizza it is! I've prepped the food so that when I come home from work, all I'll have to do is assemble it. As you can see there are no veggies for this.. which I may end up making a little side salad or buying some kind of something to go with the pizza... but we shall see!
Now is no time to think of what you do not have. Think of what you can do with what there is.
