My battle station ;)

Finally picked up a copy of this game have only played V2 so will give this a shot.
I LOVE TO GAME ON PC BUT IS IT NOW UNCOOL
This is something that has been on my mind for a while and have wanted to talk about it's about how I am a PC gamer could even call me a hardcore PC gamer as I don't own a modern console, I'm not trying to put consoles down as I did own a PS3 for a few years and when I was growing up I owned a Master system, Megadrive, N64, Dreamcast (Still my best console to date) & PS2 (My worst console ever but that's a different story) so in no way do I hate consoles as they have there place as much as any gaming PC.
The problem I find With being a PC gamer is that when I try and talk to people that have never gamed on a PC they just seemed to be put off with anything I have to say even if its about the same game they are playing on a console, I have had a few times at places I have worked people are just like "oh you play PC" like its a bad thing after that anything I say about video games they just say things like "your a PC gamer" or about the fact I paid over £1,000 which I have not & the worst of all is people say stuff like PC Elitist or just Geek or Nerd I myself wouldn't just able to say things like Console fag or PC have better graphics (that's stuff I save for my friends), I guess what I am trying to say have things changed where it's uncool to play on PC because when I was growing up PC had all the best graphic's for games and it was cool to play on a PC let alone own one and even if you did you still needed things like a good 3D graphics card as most PC's back in the 90's only came with a 2D graphics card but with the Xbox 360 & PS3 and there graphics looking okay compared to PC unlike they use to does this mean that PC is uncool because if so then have I missed something because to me I still find PC the most fun but that's just me.
The number one reason I do get from people about PC gaming not being as good as console is the price it cost's yes it can cost a lot if you want to spend a lot but you can spend about £500 and still have a kick ass PC for playing games cus how much was the PS3 when it first hit retail, so to me that reason is a pointless but I can give them that cus consoles do drop in price.
The second reason I always get is that you have to upgrade hardware all the time which I can say is not true I have had a PC I built myself & I had for like 4 years only upgrading the hard drive and still gamed just fine, and most consoles by that point are on to the new one or almost at the end of there life so another pointless reason.
The third most common I always get is look at the library of games you can play on Xbox or PlayStation and they talk about backwards compatibility but PS3 had PS2 backwards compatibility removed & Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is now no longer supported but is still there with PC there are way more games about and a lot of old games still work on modern systems today and if they don't you can just dual boot or virtual machine an older version of the operating system on the same system.
For me I just enjoy PC gaming I just have such fantastic memory's of playing on the family computer (a Pentium with MMX, 32MB RAM & 3GB HDD) playing games like There Hospital, Broken Sword & Magic Carpet, I letter did own my own system that I then got in to games like AoE II & Counter-Strke, Quake III & the fantastic Half-Life. to This day no matter what console I have tried to get in to they just don't feel as fun to play on like they use to when I was younger and I always end up just playing on PC.
